Specifying marine sushi display cases

The HNC range

Hoshizaki HNC sushi cases are countertop refrigerated display cases in black, made in Japan, in 1200, 1500, 1800 and 2100 mm lengths. Each length is built with the compressor on the left or right, so the case can be placed at either end of a counter, and with or without LED lighting and a thermometer. That gives the sixteen models listed here.

Construction and cooling

The cases combine clear glass, ABS, PVC and stainless steel, with ABS trays supplied, and run on R600a, a hydrocarbon refrigerant. Hoshizaki publishes the inside dimensions of the chilled well, the net volume and the temperature held after six hours for each model.

On board

Sushi counters on yachts and cruise ships sit in guest areas, where the published ambient range of 10 to 30 °C and the heat released by the case have to suit the space. The cases are published for single phase 220-240 V 50 Hz.
