Follett ice storage, transport and dispensing systems

Follett Products is based in Easton, Pennsylvania, USA, and is part of Middleby. Its European operation in Wislina, Poland, publishes a Euro price and specification list for the ice storage and transport range, and holds limited local inventory. Follett bins are sold without ice machines; the stainless top is custom cut for the ice maker that will sit on it, so the ice machine model has to be named on the order.

Slope front bins

Slope front bins are small to medium capacity storage bins with stainless steel front and sides, a polyethylene-lined interior with a stainless bottom and 15.24 cm adjustable legs (20.32 cm on the E-300-22). Capacities run from 136 kg in the 55.9 cm wide E-300-22 to 467 kg in the 132.1 cm wide E-1025-52.

Ice storage and transport (ITS)

ITS systems raise the bin on a base and dispense ice by gravity through a chute into SmartCART 240 carts, each holding 109 kg, so ice is moved without scooping or carrying. Models run from the E-ITS100NS-31 with 46 kg of bin capacity to ITS2250SG-60 with 968 kg and two carts.

Ice DevIce and upright bins

Ice DevIce bins dispense cube or Chewblet ice by gravity through a front chute into a SmartCART 75 cart with three Totes ice carriers. Upright SG bins store ice behind the SmartGATE ice shield, which controls the flow of ice at the door, and are 78.7 cm deep so they pass standard door openings with the lower door assembly removed.
