EcoPro G3 marine cabinets

Two EcoPro G3 cabinets are listed by Foster with cabinet type Marine: the EP700H refrigerator (41-373) and the EP700L freezer (41-723). Foster describes both as suitable for marine and offshore applications. They share a 700 × 895 × 2,150 mm body with 600 litres gross and 479.9 litres net volume for GN 2/1, and both run on 80 g of R290 from a 220-240 V single phase supply at 50 or 60 Hz.

Marine fittings

On the marine models Foster fits marine legs, bulkhead brackets, a positive latch handle and marine shelves; the EP700H refrigerator also has a marine unit cover. Doors, unit covers and interiors are 304 stainless steel. Both are rated for climate class 5, operating in ambient temperatures up to 43 °C.

Refrigerator and freezer compared

The EP700H holds +1 to +4 °C on 140 W and carries energy grade A at 310 kWh a year, with four shelves. The EP700L holds -18 to -21 °C on 270 W, carries energy grade B at 1,161 kWh a year and comes with eight shelves. Standing side by side, the pair takes 1,400 mm of width in a provision store or galley.

G3 technology

EcoPro G3 cabinets use the +stayclear condenser, Foster Shield airflow designed with CFD, and the PureControl LED controller, which can be connected through a gateway. Foster asks for 100 mm clearance above the cabinet for airflow and service access, and gives a depth of 1,500 mm with the door open.
