Coldline has designed refrigeration technology for professional kitchens since 1995. The company is based in Torreglia, in the province of Padua, Italy, where it turned an existing industrial complex into its headquarters and production site; the production centre covers 22,000 m² and is built around an automated stainless steel processing line. Coldline says its products are used in more than 60 countries, works with the University of Padua on research, and runs its business processes under UNI EN ISO 9001:2015.

The Master series

Master is Coldline's range of upright storage cabinets. It runs from 350 to 1,400 litres, with solid, glass and half doors, fish compartments and combination cabinets with two or three temperatures, which Coldline counts as 78 solutions. Every Master cabinet has a single body of AISI 304 stainless steel with 75 mm of insulation, rounded inner corners, a replaceable triple-chamber magnetic gasket and an electronic control with a flush display. Cabinets are available plug-in, for a remote condensing unit, or prepared for connection to a CO₂ refrigeration unit. Plug-in Master cabinets use R290; the remote versions listed here run on R452a.

Master Marine

Coldline describes its Master Marine section as made for installation on ships and on oil and floating platforms, combining the refrigeration of the Master series with the safety specifications the marine industry requires. On the Coldline catalogue, Master Marine solutions is listed as a variant of individual Master codes rather than as separate models, next to a 60 Hz supply and other special voltages. Coldline publishes technical data for the standard code; we confirm the marine construction, voltage and frequency with Coldline when quoting.

Reading a Master code

The codes follow one pattern across the range. A70/1NR, for example, is the 700 litre body (A70) with one door (/1), holding 0/+10 °C (N) with remote refrigeration (R). M marks -2/+8 °C, B -18/-22 °C and P the -6/+4 °C fish range, V a glass door, and AS70 the Master 700 XL body, whose side rails take XL grids on 7 levels. Combination cabinets list their compartments in order, so A140/3MPB holds -2/+8 °C, -6/+4 °C and -18/-22 °C behind three doors.

What we list

The catalogue carries the 126 Master codes for which Coldline lists the Master Marine variant: single-temperature refrigerators and freezers in the 350, 500, 600, 650, 700, 700 XL, 1200 and 1400 bodies, Master Fish cabinets in 350, 700 and 1400, and Master Combi and Fish Combi cabinets in the 700 and 1400 bodies, each in plug-in and remote form. Each product page gives the published data for that code and compares it with its plug-in, remote, glass-door and size alternatives.
