Electrolux Professional Boiling Top Range 391180 – 900XP, 2-hot plate (4 kW each) electric boiling top

Two hot plates at 4 kW each give the 391180 an installed load of 8 kW in a compact 400 mm wide body. At 930 mm deep and only 250 mm high, it is a low-profile electric boiling top built to sit in a 900XP line without consuming the space of a full range.

On a ship this footprint and height matter more than in a shore kitchen. A 930 mm depth matches the marine XP cooking line, so the unit can be aligned with adjacent modules and ventilated under a common canopy. At 250 mm high it leaves room below for an open base, refrigeration, cupboards or simply a clear deck, depending on how the galley is laid out. The 30 kg net weight keeps handling straightforward during installation, but once fixed it becomes part of the run rather than a movable counter-top appliance.

Electrically, the boiling top is specified for a 400 V/3 ph/50/60 Hz supply. That allows it to be used on vessels built to a 400 V system as well as in shore-based test kitchens without needing a separate variant. The 8 kW electrical power maximum should be part of the load calculation at the galley distribution board; grouped with other 900XP appliances the diversity factor needs to be considered early, as these are resistive loads that will often run near their rating in service.

Construction is in AISI 304 (1.4301) stainless steel, with Scotch-Brite finished exterior panels that visually match the rest of the 900XP series. The waterproof index is IPX5, so the top and controls are built to withstand low-pressure water jets rather than just splashing, which aligns with common wash‑down practices in professional galleys. Flush-fitting side edges are designed for gap-free installation against neighbouring 900XP units, reducing the soil traps that drive cleaning time and inspection findings.

This boiling top is a good fit where a line needs two strong electric plates in a narrow 400 mm module, for example as a support station on a larger pass or as a dedicated pan position near a service area. It is not the right choice where multiple pans must be held at once or where the requirement is for a full cooking suite with ovens and fryers in a single body; in those cases the wider or freestanding units in the same 900XP family should be evaluated instead.
