MKN Chip Warmer 2020601 – Optima 850

One work zone, 1 kW electrical load and a 400 x 850 mm Optima 850 body give the 2020601 a compact but clearly defined role in a hot line. The heated well at 325 x 530 x 200 mm is dimensioned for GN 1/1 containers, so fried items can move directly from the fryer into service pans without decanting.

On a vessel this size and power profile matter because holding fried food is a continuous, not an intermittent, duty. A 1 kW chip warmer at 230 V takes little from the electrical allocation yet frees the main frying appliances to focus on production instead of standing as improvised hot holding. The 400 x 850 x 700 mm footprint matches the Optima 850 depth, so it drops into a modular cooking block without creating ledges or steps that are hard to clean in a marine galley.

The working surface of 325 x 530 x 200 mm is deep enough for a full GN 1/1 container with headroom, which lets the warm zone carry a meaningful volume of product between batch drops from the fryer. With one work zone, control stays simple and predictable for routine service. Net weight is 48 kg, rising to 55 kg gross, so the unit is substantial enough to bolt down as part of a line but still manageable for handling and installation.

Stainless steel 1.4301 (AISI 304) throughout gives the external surfaces and structure a corrosion-resistant base suitable for a galley environment where cleaning chemicals and moisture are constant. Wetted parts are upgraded to stainless steel 1.4404 (AISI 316L), which is commonly chosen where contact with hot, salty or starchy liquids accelerates wear. That split in materials means the areas most exposed to food and condensate are built in the higher-alloy grade while the body stays in 1.4301. The self-supporting closed construction creates a rigid module that can stand in a row or block of Optima 850 equipment without separate framing.
