Aboard ship, that clarity matters. Many galleys sit in enclosed cores with no natural make-up air, so every watt the cooking line exports ends up on the chilled water plant and the air-handling units. With the 7EHEI084XP5, the contribution from this module can be added directly to the room heat balance and checked against the available spare capacity before the layout is frozen. Functionally, this unit is an electric induction module with a ceramic plate working area split into 4 zones. The continuous ceramic surface gives four pan positions on a single flat plane. In a line where the overall cooking length is already fixed by bulkheads and passageways, that density of usable positions on one module helps keep the number of individual appliances down, which in turn simplifies deck penetrations, drainage and service connections for the whole block.

The heat emission data are directly usable. The 560 W latent component describes the moisture load that has to be removed to keep humidity under control around the cooking line; the 1400 W sensible component is the dry heat the canopy has to capture and the chilled water or DX coils have to absorb. On a refit where existing air-handling units are close to their duty, knowing this split before ordering avoids unpleasant surprises when the galley is commissioned and the room runs hotter or more humid than expected.

It is the wrong choice for projects that require gas-fired tops or where the specification calls for a different style of working surface instead of a ceramic plate with 4 zones; in those cases another module from the same cooking line needs to be selected.
