On board, the 500 x 700 mm footprint helps fit the grill into a line where deck area is already committed to other HotLine or neutral modules. The 700 mm height lets it align with adjacent equipment of the same corpus so trays and pans can move across without steps or gaps. At 34 kg net weight and 44 kg gross weight, the unit can be brought through standard narrow accesses and lifted onto a plinth or base frame without needing heavy rigging, which matters at refit when access is constrained.

The working surface of 380 x 470 mm offers a clearly defined grilling area that is easy for the galley team to load and manage during service. Because there is only 1 work zone, the full 7 kW is concentrated into that footprint. That simplifies planning for the load on the ship’s distribution board as well as for the chef: there is no need to balance production between multiple internal sections. The single-zone layout suits a station where one cook is responsible for all items leaving the grill.

Electrical specification is 400 V with a connected load of 7 kW, a figure that should be checked against the available breaker capacity and cable routing in the galley. Knowing the exact power draw at specification stage helps the yard and the electrical engineer size circuits and protection correctly, rather than treating the grill as an unquantified small load. For refits, the 7 kW requirement is a clear test of whether the existing supply can simply be reused or must be uprated.

Stainless steel 1.4301 (AISI 304) throughout the construction ties the unit into the same material family as most commercial galley furniture, so cleaning products and maintenance practices already in place for 1.4301 are applicable here as well. The self-supporting closed construction gives the body inherent stiffness, which is relevant where the unit is mounted on a plinth fabricated by the yard rather than on a separate frame supplied with the appliance.
