Foster Cabinet Freezer EP700L – Marine, 600 Litre, -18/-21 °C, 304 Stainless Steel

The Foster EP700L, product code 41-723, is the single-door marine freezer in the EcoPro G3 cabinet range. Foster lists it with cabinet type Marine for marine and offshore applications. It holds -18 to -21 °C in 600 litres gross, 479.9 litres net, takes GN 2/1 and is supplied with eight shelves.

Marine fittings

The EP700L has marine legs, bulkhead brackets, a positive latch handle and marine shelves. The door is 304 stainless steel, right hinged, and the interior is 304 stainless as well. The brackets tie the cabinet back to the bulkhead, and the latch keeps the door closed in a seaway, which matters more on a freezer, where an open door costs hours of recovery.

Refrigeration and energy

It is an integral cabinet on 80 g of R290 (GWP 3, safety class A3, higher flammability), running on 220-240 V single phase at 50 or 60 Hz. It draws 1.2 A and 270 W and rejects 270 W of heat into the space. Rated for climate class 5 and ambient temperatures up to 43 °C, it carries energy grade B with an EEI of 30.25: 1,161 kWh a year, or 3.18 kWh in 24 hours. The +stayclear condenser, CFD-designed Foster Shield airflow and the PureControl LED controller are the same as on the rest of the G3 range.

Space on board

External size is 700 mm wide, 895 mm deep and 2,150 mm high, 1,500 mm deep with the door open, and Foster asks for 100 mm clearance above for airflow and service. It weighs 105.5 kg net and 115.5 kg packed.

The EP700H (41-373) refrigerator shares the footprint, so a pair stands 1,400 mm wide in a provision store. The refrigerator holds +1 to +4 °C on 140 W, is grade A at 310 kWh a year and adds a marine unit cover.
