Hoshizaki Water Filter System 9320-52 Overview
The Hoshizaki 4HC Twin Filter water filter system (H9320-52, item 9320-52) is a twin-cartridge system with manifold and 4HC-H cartridges for ice machines. It passes up to 15.1 l/min (4 gpm) and treats about 158,970 litres (42,000 US gal) before the cartridges are changed, which Hoshizaki puts at every 6 to 12 months depending on use and water.
Filtration
The 4HC-H cartridge is rated to NSF/ANSI Standard 42, Class 1, for bacteriostatic effects, particulates, taste, odour and chlorine; Hoshizaki states it reduces up to 97.3 % of disinfectant chlorine and filters out dirt and rust that cloud ice, while cutting scale build-up in the machine. Replacement cartridges are H9655-11 (single) and H9655-06 (six-pack). Hoshizaki does not recommend it for use with flakers, nor where the water is microbiologically unsafe without disinfection.
