Those residual moisture figures are central to sizing the dryers and the laundry ventilation on board. Specific consumption sits at 7.1 l/kg and 0.12 kWh/kg on a cold connection and 6.9 l/kg with 0.03 kWh/kg on hot. In the ECO programme, cold-water use is 67.8 litres at 0.87 kW over 34 minutes, and with hot water it is 68.3 litres at 0.13 kW over 33 minutes. Those numbers map directly onto a vessel’s fresh-water budget and generator loading.

The electrical connection is 3 AC 400V 60 HZ, with a heater rating of 5 kW, a total connected load of 5.25 kW and a 16 A fuse rating. This is an electrically heated machine, so that supply must be available at the laundry switchboard. Water connections are one cold and one hot inlet, each via a 1/2" hose with 3/4" threaded union, and the drain is pumped through a DN 22 outlet, which is relevant where grey water has to be lifted rather than discharged by gravity. Tested operating hours are quoted at 30,000, and the recycling rate of 96% supports whole-of-life and end-of-life planning for the equipment package.

Access is through a front-loading door with a 370 mm opening, a right-hand hinge and a 180 degree opening angle, which simplifies loading in confined laundries. This unit is a good fit where an 11 kg Benchmark Performance washer with 3 AC 400V 60 HZ supply covers the linen volume and electric heating is acceptable. It is the wrong choice where the laundry requires significantly higher per-cycle capacity than 11 kg or where the vessel standardises on a different electrical configuration from the stated 3 AC 400V 60 HZ.
