Two pan capacities, 50 + 100 litres, in one 2400 x 850 x 750 mm body define the FlexiChef Team FCEKMP21XX-2XX. The working surfaces of 523 x 543 x 225 mm and 723 x 543 x 315 mm give two clearly different volumes and depths under a single hinged lid, so one appliance covers both smaller batches and higher-volume production.
On a ship this is a deck-space and installation argument as much as a cooking argument. A 2400 x 850 mm footprint is a committed section of the main line, so using it to host two independent work zones makes better use of that length than lining up separate single-function pans. At 610 kg net weight and 750 mm height, the unit has to be planned into the galley layout from the start, including how it is fixed to its base structure and how the drain valve connections are routed into the waste system while keeping cleaning access around the front and sides.
Electrically, the two cooking zones are distinct. The 50 litre side is rated at 14,7 kW, the 100 litre side at 22,4 kW, all on a 400 V supply. That allows the electrical engineer to size breakers and cabling with a clear view of the loading on each half of the machine, and to decide how much diversity can reasonably be applied if both pans are expected to run at the same time. When both sides are used near their ratings the load on the galley distribution is high but predictable and concentrated in one position, which simplifies switchboard layout compared with distributing the same capacity across several smaller appliances.
The pan geometry is what makes this split useful on board. The 523 x 543 x 225 mm section suits work where depth is less critical and frequent access into the pan is needed, while the 723 x 543 x 315 mm pan gives additional length and depth for larger volumes or denser loads. Sharing the same 543 mm internal width means the working edge at the front is consistent for the cooks moving along the line, and the 850 mm body width lets it align with adjacent equipment within the same corpus depth.
Build and control
• Hinged lid
• Fully welded seams
• Drain valve
• Stainless steel 1.4404 (AISI 316L) wetted parts
The hinged lid gives controlled access to both zones and keeps openings predictable for the HVAC designer looking at vapour capture over a 2400 mm length. Fully welded seams and a dedicated drain valve mean each pan can be filled, cooked in and emptied without loose fittings, and the interior presents no open joints that are awkward to clean on the daily wash-down. Stainless steel 1.4404 (AISI 316L) for all wetted parts is a deliberate choice for aggressive galley environments where chlorides from salt and detergents are present and standing liquid is unavoidable around drains and corners.
This Team configuration is the right choice where two different pan volumes are genuinely needed on every service, the galley is laid out around a 2400 x 850 mm module and the electrical infrastructure is sized for 14,7 + 22,4 kW at 400 V in one position. It is the wrong choice for a compact or single-menu galley that would consistently use only one side; in that case a single-pan unit frees deck length, reduces installed power in that location and simplifies both the electrical schedule and the waste routing.
