Two pans at 100 litres each and two separate work zones in one body: the FCEKMP22XX-3XX FlexiChef Team is built around a 2900 x 850 x 750 mm carcass carrying both a Size 2 and a Size 3 pan. On a vessel where deck length is easier to find than extra connections, combining a 22,4 kW section with a 34,0 kW section in one appliance is a concrete way to raise output without multiplying hook-ups.
The layout matters in a marine galley. At 2900 mm long the unit runs as a main line element rather than an island, yet the 850 mm width keeps it comfortably within standard cooking corridors and existing Optima 850 schemes. Overall height of 750 mm puts the pan rims at a workable level for manual loading and unloading, which is worth checking against the deckhead and any low-mounted services when slotting this into a refit.
Pan geometry drives how the appliance can be used. On one side the working surface is 723 x 543 x 315 mm; on the other it is 1023 x 543 x 225 mm. Both pans carry 100 + 100 litres of capacity, but the different depths and lengths suit different tasks: the deeper 315 mm pan on the shorter 723 mm length lends itself to higher-fill applications, while the 1023 mm length with 225 mm depth gives a broader searing or shallow-cooking area. Treating them as two distinct work zones, rather than one large undifferentiated basin, lets a galley schedule production so that one side runs long boiling or braising cycles while the other turns batches more rapidly.
On the electrical side the split is just as clear. The 400 V supply feeds a 22,4 kW section and a 34,0 kW section. That separation can be important to the chief engineer and the designer: connected load is high, but load can be managed by using one pan at a time in off-peak periods, or by sequencing heat-up and recovery phases between the two zones to avoid coincident peaks. At a net weight of 705 kg the unit is a structural item, not a movable piece of equipment, so the deck foundation, fixing method and any coaming have to be engineered with the yard in line with the ship’s rules.
The wet side construction is set up for aggressive cleaning and salty air. All wetted parts are in stainless steel 1.4404 (AISI 316L), which is the grade typically selected when chloride exposure and hot water cleaning are part of daily operation. That choice sits well with marine practice where wash-down with chemicals and hot water is routine and standing condensate is always a risk around heavy pans.
Build and control
• Hinged lid
• Fully welded seams
• Drain valve
• Stainless steel 1.4404 (AISI 316L) wetted parts
This Team configuration is a good fit for a main galley that needs two genuinely independent 100 litre pans but only has room and services for one chassis. It is less suitable in a very small pantry or where capacities below 100 litres would cover the service, because the 2900 mm length and 705 kg weight become hard to justify in tight spaces. The FlexiChef Team FCEKMP22XX-3XX has two pans, each with a capacity of 100 litres, giving a combined capacity of 100 + 100 litres across its two work zones.
The unit measures 2900 x 850 x 750 mm (L x W x H) and has a net weight of 705 kg, so it must be treated as fixed equipment in the galley layout.
The appliance is rated for 400 V and its two sections draw 22,4 kW and 34,0 kW respectively, so load planning on the ship’s distribution board is essential.
