On a vessel this has two direct effects: less steam released at the discharge end, and less time waiting for plates and trays to cool before stacking. The 400 V/3 ph/50/60 Hz supply allows the same module to be used on ships running either frequency, which is often relevant on mixed-fleet operations or when a unit is ordered before the final electrical standard of a newbuild is frozen. At a quoted noise level below 62 dBA, the drying section does not dominate the sound environment of the wash-up area.

The 8.5 kW installed power needs to be carried in the galley’s electrical balance, but it is concentrated in a single functional block that can be planned for on the main distribution board. This module is the right choice where the conveyor dishwasher is a central, continuous-duty station and dry output is a requirement — for example, where racks move straight to storage or service. It is less suitable in small galleys that batch-wash with longer pauses, where the footprint and 8.5 kW allocation might be better spent on additional washing capacity instead.
