That means duct routing and overboard terminations have to be considered at design stage, but in return the 36 minute programme duration keeps cycle time short. Emission sound pressure level at the workplace is 50 dB(A) re 20 µPa, low enough that the laundry can share space with other technical functions without noise becoming a complaint driver.

Control is via the M Touch Pro system, with residual moisture controlled drying rather than fixed-time only. The machine is programmable, so ship operators can match programmes to standard textile sets such as workwear, duvets or mop heads. A recycling rate of 90% at end of life gives a useful number for operators tracking sustainability metrics through their fleet.

The PDR 910 [EL SOM] is a good fit for vessels that need a 10 kg-class vented dryer with fast cycles and integration into an energy management or networked monitoring system. It is not the best choice where exhaust ducting is severely constrained or where heat rejection into the room must be kept to an absolute minimum; a heat-pump configuration would be examined in those cases.
