Six kilograms nominal load in a 57 litre drum sets the PWM 906 up as a compact marine washer for smaller batch sizes. With a spin speed of 1,600 rpm delivering a g factor of 704 and a tested operating life of 30,000 hours, it is specified for repeated daily cycles over many years on board.

On a vessel, electrical compatibility, floor loading and connections have to be clear before the machine is called off. This washer is supplied as PWM 906 [EL DP MAR 3 AC 400-480V 50-60Hz] on a 3~ 480V 50/60HZ electrical connection, with a total connected load of 5 kW and a heater rating of 4.8 kW protected on a 10 A fuse. The core performance figures link water, energy and time, which are all constrained at sea. On a cold-water connection the machine uses 7.5 l/kg, or 45 litres total, with a specific energy consumption of 0.16 kWh/kg and a total of 0.95 kW per cycle over 59 minutes. With both cold and hot water connected, water use falls to 7 l/kg and 42 litres total, specific energy on the hot connection is 0.06 kWh/kg, and the programme duration drops to 49 minutes with 0.38 kW energy consumption on the hot side. Residual moisture after a cold rinse is 48%, falling to 45% with a hot rinse; those numbers set the duty the dryers downstream have to deal with.

Mechanically, the PWM 906 is a front loader with a right-hinged door opening to 167° and a 300 mm door opening diameter, so 6 kg batches can be handled in a narrow laundry or passage. Drainage is via a DN 22 drain pump, and the machine connects to services through one cold and one hot inlet, each as 1x 1/2" hose with 3/4" threaded union. Heat dissipation into the room is 1 MJ/h, which goes straight into the HVAC calculation for a closed laundry space. A recycling rate of 95% is relevant where the owner or yard track end-of-life material recovery.

This washer suits vessels where 6 kg loads match the linen streams, or where several small machines are preferred for redundancy instead of one large unit. It is the wrong choice for a central laundry turning high volumes of cabin and restaurant linen in large batches, where a machine with a higher load in kg and a larger drum volume is the more appropriate tool.
