The ECO programme with cold water brings that to 92.8 l and 1.6 kWh in 34 minutes. With a hot water connection, specific water consumption is 5.9 l/kg and specific energy consumption 0.06 kWh/kg, for 94.4 l and 0.96 kW over 43 minutes; the ECO variant uses 91.2 l and 0.48 kWh in 32 minutes.

For hygiene textiles, the dedicated Mops standard 60 °C programme sets the duty at higher water and energy input. With cold water it uses 182.2 l and 3.21 kWh over 53 minutes; with hot water 178.1 l and 1.33 kWh over 47 minutes. Independently tested virucidal efficacy, verified hygiene performance, a thermal disinfection rinse programme, EcoSpeed wash rhythm for reduced water use and continuous wash temperature monitoring align the machine with infection-control demands where mops and cloths must come back into service quickly. Tested operating hours are 30000, so the machine is intended for continuous professional use rather than occasional cycles.

Mechanically, the PWM 916 is a front loader from the Benchmark Performance Plus range, with both front and control panel in stainless steel. The right-hinged door opens 180° with a 415 mm diameter opening, large enough for the published loading examples such as summer horse blankets, over jackets and synthetic pillows. The M Touch Pro Plus control system is freely programmable and shows remaining cycle time, which supports scheduling in a small shipboard team. Water connections are generous for a marine installation: three cold water inlets (3 x 1/2" hose with 3/4" union), one hot (1x 1/2" hose with 3/4" th. union) and provision for two hard water connections (2 x 1/2" with 3/4" union).

This washer suits vessels that routinely accumulate 16 kg batches of linen, workwear, PPE and hygiene textiles and that need documented disinfection and low residual moisture as part of their operating regime. It is the wrong choice for a small crew laundry that rarely reaches the 16 kg load point, because the 6.2 l/kg and 0.14 kWh/kg figures are achieved on properly loaded cycles rather than frequent part-loads.
