Twenty-seven kilograms at a 1:9 load ratio in a 240 l drum puts the PWM 927 into the upper end of shipboard washer sizes, aimed at full PPE, mop and linen batches rather than small mixed loads. At 1100 rpm with a g factor of 541 it extracts to 46% residual moisture on a cold rinse and 40% on hot, so a large share of the water leaves in the washer instead of the dryer.

Those figures need checking against deck loading, coaming layout and door widths before a confined laundry is committed. Water and energy data define the running profile when the vessel is on its own plant. With a cold water connection the specific water consumption is 6.7 l/kg and specific energy consumption is 0.2 kWh/kg, giving 181.8 l and 5.38 kW per standard cycle at full 27 kg load with a programme duration of 52 minutes. On hot water the same 6.7 l/kg applies, but specific energy consumption drops to 0.05 kWh/kg, with 180.9 l and 1.35 kW per cycle and a reduced running time of 45 minutes. The ECO programme reduces both further: on cold water it uses 175.4 l and 3.16 kWh over 37 minutes, and on hot water 163.3 l and 0.57 kWh over 34 minutes. For the Mops standard 60 °C programme the machine draws 301.7 l on cold and 301.8 l on hot with energy needs of 6.07 kWh and 2.34 kWh, and programme running times of 52 and 45 minutes respectively.

Residual moisture when processing cleaning cloths is quoted at 11%, which directly affects how quickly those cloths return to service after a hygiene cycle. Tested operating hours are 30000, giving a basis for planning service life against duty cycle. The internal capacity figures are tied to real cleaning and PPE items rather than nominal kilograms: the PWM 927 can take 620 cloths at 22 g, 142 cotton mops at 40 cm / 190 g, 123 cotton mops at 50 cm / 220 g, 225 microfibre mops at 40 cm / 120 g and 159 microfibre mops at 50 cm / 170 g per cycle. For protective equipment and bedding it is rated for 19 respirator masks, 6 helmets, 4 overalls, 6 over jackets, 3 chemical protection suits, 3 synthetic duvets, 6 synthetic pillows, 3 down duvets, 6 down pillows and 4 summer horse blankets.

This washer is a good fit where a vessel runs frequent PPE, mop and linen cycles that justify a 27 kg capacity, a 1090 × 1226 mm footprint and a maximum floor load of 9072 N. It is the wrong choice for a lightly used owner’s laundry or a small craft where typical loads sit far below 27 kg and the 650 kg net weight and 1646 mm height cannot be justified.
