Coldline Refrigerator Master 1400 A140/2NR – 2 doors, 0/+10 °C, Remote, 1,356 l

The Coldline A140/2NR is a two-door refrigerator from the Master 1400 range, holding 0/+10 °C in a cabinet of 1,356 litres gross and 899 litres net. In the code A140/2NR, A140 is the 1400 body, /2 the number of doors, N the 0/+10 °C range and R the remote refrigeration. As the remote version, the A140/2NR has no condensing unit of its own: it connects to one sited elsewhere through Ø 1/4" delivery and Ø 3/8" suction pipes and runs on R452a, GWP 2,141. Coldline pairs it with the NEK6210GK remote condensing unit in its accessory list. Master Marine solutions appears among the variants Coldline lists for the A140/2NR.

Build and fittings

Coldline ships the A140/2NR with 6 slides for GN 2/1 shelves, 6 plastic coated GN 2/1 shelves, lock with key, LED lighting. The A140/2NR has two self-closing doors with a 105° stop, hinged on the right. A 75 mm insulated single body in AISI 304 stainless steel, with galvanized/colaminated back, base and technical compartment, encloses 899 litres of storage with rounded inner corners. Its magnetic triple-chamber gasket can be replaced, the handle is 2 mm AISI 304, and the AISI 304 feet adjust between 100 and 150 mm under the 2,085 mm high cabinet. The A140/2NR is run from an electronic control whose display sits flush with the panel.

Refrigeration data

The A140/2NR has a rated cooling capacity of 668 W (evaporating at -10 °C, condensing at +55 °C). On 220-240 V 50-60 Hz it draws 260 W at 1.2 A, with automatic off-cycle defrost. No energy label is published for the remote A140/2NR, whose consumption depends on the condensing unit it is paired with; a solenoid valve is supplied as standard.

Compared with other Master codes

The plug-in A140/2N has the same temperature range but carries its own R290 unit: it weighs 210 kg net against 205 kg for the A140/2NR, and is listed at 220-240 V 50 Hz instead of 220-240 V 50-60 Hz. The same cabinet is also listed with glass doors as the A140/2NRV, at 235 kg net against 205 kg. In the same configuration, the smaller A120/2NR holds 1,155 litres gross in 1,480 mm width, against 1,356 litres in 1,480 mm for the A140/2NR.

Marine version

Coldline describes its Master Marine section as made for installation on ships and on oil and floating platforms, combining Master refrigeration with the safety specifications of the marine industry. Coldline does not publish a separate data sheet for the marine build, so the data here is for the standard A140/2NR and the marine specification is agreed with Coldline at quotation. Coldline lists the A140/2NR for 220-240 V 50-60 Hz supplies, with other special voltages available as a variant. Accessories for the A140/2NR include stainless steel GN 2/1 shelves, 150 mm stainless steel drawers, bottle shelves, castors, an RS485 serial interface and Cosmo cable or Wi-Fi kits.

Getting it on board

The A140/2NR measures 1,480 mm wide, 815 mm deep and 2,085 mm high and weighs 205 kg net. Packed it is 1,575 × 930 × 2,145 mm and 231 kg, the size to check against doors, hatches and passageways on the way to the galley or provision store.
