Coldline Refrigerator Master 700 XL AS70/1MR – 1 door, -2/+8 °C, Remote, 601 l

The Coldline AS70/1MR is a single-door refrigerator from the Master 700 XL range, holding -2/+8 °C in a cabinet of 601 litres gross and 499 litres net. In the code AS70/1MR, AS70 is the 700 XL body, /1 the number of doors, M the -2/+8 °C range and R the remote refrigeration. As the remote version, the AS70/1MR has no condensing unit of its own: it connects to one sited elsewhere through Ø 1/4" delivery and Ø 3/8" suction pipes and runs on R452a, GWP 2,141. Coldline pairs it with the NEK6210GK remote condensing unit in its accessory list. The AS70/1MR is one of the Master codes for which Coldline lists a Master Marine solutions variant.

Build and fittings

Coldline ships the AS70/1MR with 3 slides for 650x588 mm shelves, 3 plastic coated 650x588 mm shelves, lock with key. The AS70/1MR has a self-closing door with a 105° stop, hinged on the right. A 75 mm insulated single body in AISI 304 stainless steel, with galvanized/colaminated back, base and technical compartment, encloses 499 litres of storage with rounded inner corners. Racks, slides, the 2 mm handle and the feet (adjustable from 100 to 150 mm) are AISI 304, and the triple-chamber magnetic gasket on the AS70/1MR can be replaced. An electronic controller with a flush display sets the -2/+8 °C range. Master 700 XL cabinets have moulded rails on the chamber sides so the XL grids can be moved between 7 levels; here that gives 499 litres net against 450 litres in the standard A70/1MR.

Technical data

Coldline gives the AS70/1MR a cooling capacity of 448 W (evaporating at -10 °C, condensing at +55 °C) and a total rate of 710 W at 3.3 A on 220-240 V 50-60 Hz; defrost is electric. No energy label is published for the remote AS70/1MR, whose consumption depends on the condensing unit it is paired with; a solenoid valve is supplied as standard.

The plug-in AS70/1M has the same temperature range but carries its own R290 unit: it weighs 130 kg net against 115 kg for the AS70/1MR, and is listed at 220-240 V 50 Hz instead of 220-240 V 50-60 Hz. The same cabinet is also listed with glass doors as the AS70/1MRV, at 130 kg net against 115 kg.

Marine version

According to Coldline, the Master Marine section is intended for ships and for oil and floating platforms, where Master refrigeration is combined with marine safety specifications. What is published is the data for the standard AS70/1MR. The marine build has no data sheet of its own, and we confirm its details with Coldline before an order. The remote AS70/1MR is listed for 220-240 V 50-60 Hz, and other special voltages appear among its variants. Accessories for the AS70/1MR include castors, an RS485 serial interface and Cosmo cable or Wi-Fi kits.

Size and handling

The AS70/1MR measures 740 mm wide, 815 mm deep and 2,085 mm high and weighs 115 kg net. Packed it is 835 × 930 × 2,138 mm and 135 kg, the size to check against doors, hatches and passageways on the way to the galley or provision store.
