The Follett ITS2250SG-60 is an ice storage and transport system: an elevated bin holding 968 kg of ice (1186 kg including the carts) that fills 2 SmartCART 240 carts by gravity through a chute, so ice is never scooped or carried. One pull of the gate bar loads a cart with up to 109 kg. It is 152.4 cm wide and 246.4 cm high, and appears on the Hoshizaki 2026 export price list as ITS2250SG-60.
Build and equipment
The bin exterior and base are full stainless steel, with a corrosion-resistant polyethylene liner and a stainless top custom cut for the ice machine. This model has the SmartGATE ice shield and the stay-open PowerHinge door, which opens and closes with one hand. The insulated all-polyethylene SmartCART 240 drains into the base when parked in its bay and can carry six optional Totes ice carriers. The system works with cube, flake and Chewblet ice, dispensing up to 2.3 kg per second.
