Spin performance and residual moisture determine how hard drying equipment has to work. The PWM 916 spins at 1120 rpm with a g factor of 502. Residual moisture is 46% with a cold rinse, 42% with a hot rinse, and 25% when processing cleaning cloths, which shortens subsequent drying or airing time. Standard 60 °C programmes run for 49 minutes on a cold water connection and 43 minutes with both cold and hot water connected. In the ECO programme, cycle times are 34 minutes on cold water and 32 minutes with cold and hot water connected, so peaks in the laundry can be planned around defined programme durations.

Water and energy consumption figures are broken down by connection and programme, which matters on vessels generating their own fresh water. With a cold water connection the specific water consumption is 6.2 l/kg, equating to 99.2 litres per reference cycle, with specific energy consumption of 0.14 kWh/kg and 2.24 kW per cycle. With hot water the specific water consumption is 5.9 l/kg, with 94.4 litres per cycle and 0.06 kWh/kg, corresponding to 0.96 kW per cycle. In the ECO programme, cold-water operation uses 92.8 litres and 1.6 kWh, while hot-water ECO draws 91.2 litres and 0.48 kWh. For the Mops standard 60 °C programme, consumption is 182.2 litres and 3.21 kWh on cold water, and 178.1 litres and 1.33 kWh on hot, with running times of 53 and 47 minutes respectively.

The machine stands 1450 × 924 × 835 mm (H×W×D), with a shipping envelope of 1585 × 1090 × 1130 mm. Stainless steel is used for the front and control panel, and the 415 mm door opening with a 180° opening angle on the right-hand hinge makes it practical to handle bulkier items. Three cold water inlets (3 × 1/2" hose with 3/4" union), one hot water inlet (1 × 1/2" hose with 3/4" threaded union) and two optional hard water connections (2 × 1/2" with 3/4" union) give scope to separate potable, technical and softened feeds.

The reference loading data shows how the 16 kg capacity converts into real work in a marine or offshore context. Per cycle the PWM 916 is specified for 355 cloths at 22 g, 160 office mops at 100 g or 105 stairway mops at 150 g, as well as 82 cotton mops at 40 cm / 190 g or 71 cotton mops at 50 cm / 220 g. This unit suits shipboard and offshore laundries that can consolidate 16 kg loads, need documented hygiene performance and thermal disinfection, and can support a 13.4 kW, 3 AC 440 V 60 HZ connection with 6.48 MJ/h of heat into the room.
