Thirty‑five kilograms at a 1:9 load ratio on a 320 l drum puts the PWM 935 into the top tier of shipboard washer sizes. With 30000 tested operating hours and a maximum floor load of 9656 N, it is aimed at continuous Benchmark Performance Plus duty rather than light occasional use.

The electrical connection is 3 AC 440V 60HZ with a total connected load of 29.1 kW and a 27.5 kW heater rating, protected on a 50 A fuse. Those figures need to sit cleanly inside the vessel’s 440 V/60 Hz distribution margins, and the 6.1 MJ/h heat dissipation and 71 dB(A) emission sound pressure level at the workplace belong in the HVAC and acoustic calculation, not as an afterthought once the space is fitted out.

Water and energy data are stated for both cold and hot feeds. On a cold‑water connection the PWM 935 uses 7.5 l/kg, or 262.5 l per standard cycle at the full 35 kg load, with specific energy consumption of 0.22 kWh/kg and 7.6 kW per cycle. The same load on a hot‑water connection keeps consumption at 7.5 l/kg but drops specific energy to 0.06 kWh/kg and 2.16 kW per cycle, shifting most of the thermal input to the ship’s hot‑water plant instead of the machine’s elements. ECO programmes reduce draw further: 242 l and 5.3 kWh in ECO on cold water, 243.6 l and 0.76 kWh in ECO on hot.

Cycle times and residual moisture then drive dryer sizing and shift planning. The standard 60 °C programme on a cold‑water feed runs for 61 minutes, or 59 minutes in the Mops standard 60 °C programme. With both cold and hot water connected, the standard programme duration is 49 minutes; in ECO it is 44 minutes on cold water and 37 minutes with cold and hot connected. For the Mops standard 60 °C programme, running time is 59 minutes on cold water and 52 minutes on hot. Residual moisture after a cold rinse is 51 %, falling to 44 % with hot rinse; when processing cleaning cloths it is stated at 14 %. Spin speed is 1060 rpm at a g factor of 502, which is the mechanical extraction behind those moisture figures.

Physically, the cabinet footprint is set by external dimensions of 1090 mm width, 1275 mm depth and 1646 mm height. Gross transport dimensions rise to 1365 mm width, 1425 mm depth and 1793 mm height. Net weight is 675 kg and gross weight 732 kg. Together with the maximum floor load of 9656 N, these numbers are what the naval architect and yard need for foundation design, access and installation handling.

Miele publishes concrete load examples at 35 kg that help to judge utilisation. The machine is rated for 800 cloths at 22 g, 184 cotton mops at 40 cm / 190 g and 159 cotton mops at 50 cm / 220 g. For microfibre mops the data plate cites 292 pieces at 40 cm / 120 g and 206 at 50 cm / 170 g. This unit fits vessels that can consistently load a 35 kg, 320 l drum with PPE, linen, cloths or mops and that have the electrical and structural capacity for a 29.1 kW, 3 AC 440V 60HZ machine at 9656 N floor load. It is the wrong choice for a small crew vessel or a laundry dominated by part loads, where the 675 kg net weight, 6.1 MJ/h heat into the room and full‑size footprint are out of proportion to the volume actually washed.
