Coldline Freezer Master 1400 A140/2B – 2 doors, -18/-22 °C, Plug-in, 1,356 l

The Coldline A140/2B is a two-door freezer from the Master 1400 range, holding -18/-22 °C in a cabinet of 1,356 litres gross and 899 litres net. In the code A140/2B, A140 is the 1400 body, /2 the number of doors and B the -18/-22 °C range. The plug-in A140/2B carries its own condensing unit, charged with 150 g of R290, GWP 3. The A140/2B is one of the Master codes for which Coldline lists a Master Marine solutions variant.

Inside the cabinet

As supplied, the A140/2B comes with 6 slides for GN 2/1 shelves, 6 plastic coated GN 2/1 shelves, lock with key, LED lighting. The A140/2B has two self-closing doors with a 105° stop, hinged on the right. A 75 mm insulated single body in AISI 304 stainless steel, with galvanized/colaminated back, base and technical compartment, encloses 899 litres of storage with rounded inner corners. Its magnetic triple-chamber gasket can be replaced, the handle is 2 mm AISI 304, and the AISI 304 feet adjust between 100 and 150 mm under the 2,085 mm high cabinet. Temperature, -18/-22 °C, is set on an electronic control with the display flush to the panel.

Cooling and energy

The A140/2B has a rated cooling capacity of 692 W (evaporating at -30 °C, condensing at +55 °C). On 220-240 V 50 Hz it draws 1,000 W at 4.6 A, with hot gas defrost. Its energy label is class C, with an energy efficiency index of 49.5, 2,919 kWh a year and 7.997 kWh in 24 hours at climate class 5.

Compared with other Master codes

Its remote counterpart, the A140/2BR, moves the condensing unit out of the galley and its heat with it; it runs on R452a, is listed at 220-240 V 50-60 Hz and weighs 205 kg net against 225 kg. The glass-door A140/2BV shows the stock without opening the door but uses 4,918 kWh a year against 2,919 kWh for the A140/2B. In the same configuration, the smaller A120/2B holds 1,155 litres gross in 1,480 mm width, against 1,356 litres in 1,480 mm for the A140/2B.

Marine version

According to Coldline, the Master Marine section is intended for ships and for oil and floating platforms, where Master refrigeration is combined with marine safety specifications. The figures on this page are those Coldline publishes for the standard A140/2B; there is no separate marine data sheet, so the marine construction is confirmed with Coldline when we quote. Coldline publishes the A140/2B at 220-240 V 50 Hz and lists a 60 Hz supply and other special voltages among its variants. Accessories for the A140/2B include stainless steel GN 2/1 shelves, 150 mm stainless steel drawers, bottle shelves, castors, an RS485 serial interface and Cosmo cable or Wi-Fi kits.

Getting it on board

The A140/2B measures 1,480 mm wide, 815 mm deep and 2,085 mm high and weighs 225 kg net. Packed it is 1,575 × 930 × 2,145 mm and 251 kg, the size to check against doors, hatches and passageways on the way to the galley or provision store.
