Coldline Freezer Master 500 A50/1BRV – 1 glass door, -18/-22 °C, Remote, 417 l

The Coldline A50/1BRV is a single glass-door freezer from the Master 500 range, holding -18/-22 °C in a cabinet of 417 litres gross and 290 litres net. In the code A50/1BRV, A50 is the 500 body, /1 the number of doors, B the -18/-22 °C range, R the remote refrigeration and V the glass door. As the remote version, the A50/1BRV has no condensing unit of its own: it connects to one sited elsewhere through Ø 3/8" delivery and Ø 3/8" suction pipes and runs on R452a, GWP 2,141. Coldline pairs it with the NT2180GK remote condensing unit in its accessory list. Master Marine solutions appears among the variants Coldline lists for the A50/1BRV.

Build and fittings

As supplied, the A50/1BRV comes with 3 slides for 42x53 cm shelves, 3 plastic coated 42x53 cm shelves, lock with key, LED lighting. The A50/1BRV has a self-closing aluminium door with a 105° latch and right-hand hinges, glazed, as the V in the code shows. Inside and out the A50/1BRV is AISI 304 stainless steel, apart from a galvanized/colaminated back, base and technical compartment, with 75 mm of CFC/HCFC-free insulation around 290 litres of storage whose corners are rounded for cleaning. On the A50/1BRV the magnetic triple-chamber gaskets are replaceable, while racks, slides, the 2 mm handle and the 100/150 mm adjustable feet are AISI 304. Temperature, -18/-22 °C, is set on an electronic control with the display flush to the panel.

Refrigeration data

Coldline gives the A50/1BRV a cooling capacity of 646 W (evaporating at -30 °C, condensing at +55 °C) and a total rate of 970 W at 4.4 A on 220-240 V 50-60 Hz; defrost is electric. No energy label is published for the remote A50/1BRV, whose consumption depends on the condensing unit it is paired with; a solenoid valve is supplied as standard.

Compared with other Master codes

The plug-in A50/1BV has the same temperature range but carries its own R290 unit: it weighs 130 kg net against 110 kg for the A50/1BRV, and is listed at 220-240 V 50 Hz instead of 220-240 V 50-60 Hz. The same cabinet is also listed with solid doors as the A50/1BR, at 100 kg net against 110 kg. In the same configuration, the smaller A30/1BRV holds 334 litres gross in 535 mm width and the larger A60/1BRV holds 512 litres gross in 740 mm, against 417 litres in 630 mm for the A50/1BRV.

Marine version

According to Coldline, the Master Marine section is intended for ships and for oil and floating platforms, where Master refrigeration is combined with marine safety specifications. Coldline does not publish a separate data sheet for the marine build, so the data here is for the standard A50/1BRV and the marine specification is agreed with Coldline at quotation. Coldline lists the A50/1BRV for 220-240 V 50-60 Hz supplies, with other special voltages available as a variant. Accessories for the A50/1BRV include 150 mm stainless steel drawers, bottle shelves, castors, an RS485 serial interface and Cosmo cable or Wi-Fi kits.

Size and handling

External dimensions of the A50/1BRV are 630 × 715 × 2,085 mm (W × D × H) and net weight is 110 kg. In its packing it grows to 835 × 830 × 2,144 mm and 130 kg, which is what has to pass the doors and hatches on the route aboard.
