Yacht Freezers

Freezers on Yachts

A yacht keeps working stock close to the galley and stores for cruising away from provisioning ports. A freezer draws far more energy than a refrigerator of the same size, which matters where the galley shares generating capacity with the rest of the vessel.

What this selection includes

This page lists 54 products from Coldline (45), Electrolux Professional (8) and Foster (1). By series: Master (45), ecostore (4), Prostore 500 (2), Prostore 800 (2) and EcoPro G3 (1). Across the list you will find capacities from 334 to 1,444 litres.

By capacity band, 201 to 400 litres (4), 401 to 800 litres (32) and over 800 litres (18). The same products sit in freezers (54) and refrigerators (12), so a model can appear under more than one heading.

Models on this page include Coldline Freezer Master 700 A70/1BSR (-18/-22 °C, 601 l, remote), Coldline Freezer Master 700 XL AS70/1B (-18/-22 °C, 601 l, plug-in), Coldline Freezer Master 700 XL AS70/1BR (-18/-22 °C, 601 l, remote) and Coldline Freezer Master 700 XL AS70/1BV (-18/-22 °C, 601 l, plug-in).

Specifying freezers for yachts

• Supply: 220 V is what the manufacturers publish for these models, 28 of them with 60 Hz operation. The board voltage, phase and frequency decide which build is ordered.
• Space: 535 mm to 1,480 mm wide. On a refit the route through doors and hatches usually decides the model before the galley does.
• Temperature range and net volume against the frozen stock kept close to the galley.
• Ambient temperature in the space, and whether the cabinet is tropicalised for hot cruising grounds.
