Coldline Refrigerator Master 500 A50/1M – 1 door, -2/+8 °C, Plug-in, 417 l

The Coldline A50/1M is a single-door refrigerator from the Master 500 range, holding -2/+8 °C in a cabinet of 417 litres gross and 290 litres net. In the code A50/1M, A50 is the 500 body, /1 the number of doors and M the -2/+8 °C range. The plug-in A50/1M carries its own condensing unit, charged with 75 g of R290, GWP 3. Master Marine solutions appears among the variants Coldline lists for the A50/1M.

Inside the cabinet

Coldline ships the A50/1M with 3 slides for 42x53 cm shelves, 3 plastic coated 42x53 cm shelves, lock with key, LED lighting. The A50/1M has a self-closing door with a 105° stop, hinged on the right. A 75 mm insulated single body in AISI 304 stainless steel, with galvanized/colaminated back, base and technical compartment, encloses 290 litres of storage with rounded inner corners. Its magnetic triple-chamber gasket can be replaced, the handle is 2 mm AISI 304, and the AISI 304 feet adjust between 100 and 150 mm under the 2,085 mm high cabinet. An electronic controller with a flush display sets the -2/+8 °C range.

Technical data

The A50/1M has a rated cooling capacity of 406 W (evaporating at -10 °C, condensing at +55 °C). On 220-240 V 50 Hz it draws 220 W at 1 A, with hot gas defrost. Its energy label is class B, with an energy efficiency index of 30.5, 331 kWh a year and 0.91 kWh in 24 hours at climate class 5.

Choosing between codes

Its remote counterpart, the A50/1MR, moves the condensing unit out of the galley and its heat with it; it runs on R452a, is listed at 220-240 V 50-60 Hz and weighs 100 kg net against 115 kg. The glass-door A50/1MV shows the stock without opening the door but uses 509 kWh a year against 331 kWh for the A50/1M. In the same configuration, the smaller A30/1M holds 334 litres gross in 535 mm width and the larger A60/1M holds 512 litres gross in 740 mm, against 417 litres in 630 mm for the A50/1M.

Marine version

Coldline builds the Master Marine section for installation on ships, oil platforms and floating platforms, pairing the Master series' refrigeration with the safety specifications vessels require. Coldline does not publish a separate data sheet for the marine build, so the data here is for the standard A50/1M and the marine specification is agreed with Coldline at quotation. Coldline publishes the A50/1M at 220-240 V 50 Hz and lists a 60 Hz supply and other special voltages among its variants. Accessories for the A50/1M include 150 mm stainless steel drawers, bottle shelves, castors, an RS485 serial interface and Cosmo cable or Wi-Fi kits.

Size and handling

The A50/1M measures 630 mm wide, 715 mm deep and 2,085 mm high and weighs 115 kg net. Packed it is 835 × 830 × 2,145 mm and 135 kg, the size to check against doors, hatches and passageways on the way to the galley or provision store.
