Coldline Refrigerator Master 500 A50/1N – 1 door, 0/+10 °C, Plug-in, 417 l

The Coldline A50/1N is a single-door refrigerator from the Master 500 range, holding 0/+10 °C in a cabinet of 417 litres gross and 290 litres net. In the code A50/1N, A50 is the 500 body, /1 the number of doors and N the 0/+10 °C range. The plug-in A50/1N carries its own condensing unit, charged with 75 g of R290, GWP 3. The A50/1N is one of the Master codes for which Coldline lists a Master Marine solutions variant.

Build and fittings

Coldline ships the A50/1N with 3 slides for 42x53 cm shelves, 3 plastic coated 42x53 cm shelves, lock with key, LED lighting. The A50/1N has a self-closing door with a 105° stop, hinged on the right. The 290 litre chamber is AISI 304 stainless steel with rounded corners inside a single body insulated with 75 mm of CFC/HCFC-free material; the back, base and technical compartment are galvanized/colaminated steel. On the A50/1N the magnetic triple-chamber gaskets are replaceable, while racks, slides, the 2 mm handle and the 100/150 mm adjustable feet are AISI 304. The A50/1N is run from an electronic control whose display sits flush with the panel.

Technical data

The A50/1N has a rated cooling capacity of 406 W (evaporating at -10 °C, condensing at +55 °C). On 220-240 V 50 Hz it draws 220 W at 1 A, with automatic off-cycle defrost. Its energy label is class B, with an energy efficiency index of 29.9, 325 kWh a year and 0.89 kWh in 24 hours at climate class 5.

Compared with other Master codes

Its remote counterpart, the A50/1NR, moves the condensing unit out of the galley and its heat with it; it runs on R452a, is listed at 220-240 V 50-60 Hz and weighs 100 kg net against 115 kg. The glass-door A50/1NV shows the stock without opening the door but uses 503 kWh a year against 325 kWh for the A50/1N. In the same configuration, the smaller A30/1N holds 334 litres gross in 535 mm width and the larger A60/1N holds 512 litres gross in 740 mm, against 417 litres in 630 mm for the A50/1N.

Marine version

Coldline describes its Master Marine section as made for installation on ships and on oil and floating platforms, combining Master refrigeration with the safety specifications of the marine industry. What is published is the data for the standard A50/1N. The marine build has no data sheet of its own, and we confirm its details with Coldline before an order. At 220-240 V 50 Hz as published, the A50/1N can also be ordered with a 60 Hz supply or another special voltage, both listed as variants. Accessories for the A50/1N include 150 mm stainless steel drawers, bottle shelves, castors, an RS485 serial interface and Cosmo cable or Wi-Fi kits.

Getting it on board

External dimensions of the A50/1N are 630 × 715 × 2,085 mm (W × D × H) and net weight is 115 kg. In its packing it grows to 835 × 830 × 2,145 mm and 135 kg, which is what has to pass the doors and hatches on the route aboard.
