Coldline Refrigerator Master 700 XL AS70/1M – 1 door, -2/+8 °C, Plug-in, 601 l

The Coldline AS70/1M is a single-door refrigerator from the Master 700 XL range, holding -2/+8 °C in a cabinet of 601 litres gross and 499 litres net. In the code AS70/1M, AS70 is the 700 XL body, /1 the number of doors and M the -2/+8 °C range. The plug-in AS70/1M carries its own condensing unit, charged with 90 g of R290, GWP 3. The AS70/1M is one of the Master codes for which Coldline lists a Master Marine solutions variant.

Inside the cabinet

Coldline ships the AS70/1M with 3 slides for 650x588 mm shelves, 3 plastic coated 650x588 mm shelves, lock with key. The AS70/1M has a self-closing door with a 105° stop, hinged on the right. Inside and out the AS70/1M is AISI 304 stainless steel, apart from a galvanized/colaminated back, base and technical compartment, with 75 mm of CFC/HCFC-free insulation around 499 litres of storage whose corners are rounded for cleaning. On the AS70/1M the magnetic triple-chamber gaskets are replaceable, while racks, slides, the 2 mm handle and the 100/150 mm adjustable feet are AISI 304. An electronic controller with a flush display sets the -2/+8 °C range. Master 700 XL cabinets have moulded rails on the chamber sides so the XL grids can be moved between 7 levels; here that gives 499 litres net against 450 litres in the standard A70/1M.

Cooling and energy

The AS70/1M has a rated cooling capacity of 406 W (evaporating at -10 °C, condensing at +55 °C). On 220-240 V 50 Hz it draws 220 W at 1 A, with hot gas defrost. Its energy label is class A, with an energy efficiency index of 24.8, 354 kWh a year and 0.97 kWh in 24 hours at climate class 5.

Choosing between codes

Its remote counterpart, the AS70/1MR, moves the condensing unit out of the galley and its heat with it; it runs on R452a, is listed at 220-240 V 50-60 Hz and weighs 115 kg net against 130 kg. The glass-door AS70/1MV shows the stock without opening the door but uses 489 kWh a year against 354 kWh for the AS70/1M.

Marine version

Coldline builds the Master Marine section for installation on ships, oil platforms and floating platforms, pairing the Master series' refrigeration with the safety specifications vessels require. What is published is the data for the standard AS70/1M. The marine build has no data sheet of its own, and we confirm its details with Coldline before an order. At 220-240 V 50 Hz as published, the AS70/1M can also be ordered with a 60 Hz supply or another special voltage, both listed as variants. Accessories for the AS70/1M include castors, an RS485 serial interface and Cosmo cable or Wi-Fi kits.

Size and handling

External dimensions of the AS70/1M are 740 × 815 × 2,085 mm (W × D × H) and net weight is 130 kg. In its packing it grows to 835 × 930 × 2,145 mm and 150 kg, which is what has to pass the doors and hatches on the route aboard.
