The Coldline A140/2MB is a two-door multi-temperature cabinet from the Master Combi 1400 range, holding -2/+8 °C and -18/-22 °C in a cabinet of 1,203 litres gross and 450 + 450 litres net. In the code A140/2MB, A140 is the 1400 body, /2 the number of doors and MB the compartment ranges in order (-2/+8 °C, -18/-22 °C). Its 450 + 450 litres are split between compartments, so chilled stock and frozen stock are kept in one 1,480 mm wide body behind separate doors. The plug-in A140/2MB carries its own condensing unit, charged with 90 g of R290, GWP 3. Master Marine solutions appears among the variants Coldline lists for the A140/2MB.

Inside the cabinet

As supplied, the A140/2MB comes with 6 slides for GN 2/1 shelves, 6 plastic coated GN 2/1 shelves, lock with key, LED lighting. The A140/2MB has two self-closing doors with a 105° stop, hinged on the right. A 75 mm insulated single body in AISI 304 stainless steel, with galvanized/colaminated back, base and technical compartment, encloses 450 + 450 litres of storage with rounded inner corners. Its magnetic triple-chamber gasket can be replaced, the handle is 2 mm AISI 304, and the AISI 304 feet adjust between 100 and 150 mm under the 2,085 mm high cabinet. The A140/2MB is run from an electronic control whose display sits flush with the panel.

Cooling and energy

The A140/2MB has a rated cooling capacity of 406 W / 453 W (evaporating at -10 °C/-30 °C, condensing at +55 °C). On 220-240 V 50 Hz it draws 1,055 W at 4.8 A, with hot gas defrost. The A140/2MB is rated for climate class 5; no energy label figures are published for this multi-temperature code.

Choosing between codes

Its remote counterpart, the A140/2MBR, moves the condensing unit out of the galley and its heat with it; it runs on R452a, is listed at 220-240 V 50-60 Hz and weighs 220 kg net against 245 kg. The same 2-door body is also listed as A140/2MM (-2/+8 °C / -2/+8 °C) and A140/2MP (-2/+8 °C / -6/+4 °C).

Marine version

Coldline describes its Master Marine section as made for installation on ships and on oil and floating platforms, combining Master refrigeration with the safety specifications of the marine industry. What is published is the data for the standard A140/2MB. The marine build has no data sheet of its own, and we confirm its details with Coldline before an order. Coldline publishes the A140/2MB at 220-240 V 50 Hz and lists a 60 Hz supply and other special voltages among its variants.
