The Coldline A140/3MPBR is a three-door multi-temperature cabinet from the Master Fish Combi 1400 range, holding -2/+8 °C, -6/+4 °C and -18/-22 °C in a cabinet of 1,163 litres gross and 621 + 173 litres net. In the code A140/3MPBR, A140 is the 1400 body, /3 the number of doors, MPB the compartment ranges in order (-2/+8 °C, -6/+4 °C, -18/-22 °C) and R the remote refrigeration. Its 621 + 173 litres are split between compartments, so chilled stock, fish and frozen stock are kept in one 1,480 mm wide body behind separate doors. As the remote version, the A140/3MPBR has no condensing unit of its own: it connects to one sited elsewhere through Ø 1/4" + Ø 1/4" + Ø 3/8" delivery and Ø 3/8" + Ø 3/8" + Ø 3/8" suction pipes and runs on R452a, GWP 2,141. Coldline lists the EMT6165GK, EMT6144GK and NT2178GK remote condensing units as accessories for it. The A140/3MPBR is one of the Master codes for which Coldline lists a Master Marine solutions variant.

Build and fittings

Standard equipment for the A140/3MPBR: 7 slides for GN 2/1 shelves, 5 plastic coated GN 2/1 shelves, 4 ABS GN 1/1 pans, lock with key, LED lighting, water drain. The A140/3MPBR has three self-closing, reversible doors with a 105° stop. The 621 + 173 litre compartments are AISI 304 stainless steel with rounded corners inside a single body insulated with 75 mm of CFC/HCFC-free material; the back, base and technical compartment are galvanized/colaminated steel. On the A140/3MPBR the magnetic triple-chamber gaskets are replaceable, while racks, slides, the 2 mm handle and the 100/150 mm adjustable feet are AISI 304. The A140/3MPBR is run from an electronic control whose display sits flush with the panel. Coldline developed the fish section for fresh fish, with temperature ranges and accessories for molluscs, crustaceans, fillets and whole fish. In the A140/3MPBR the ABS GN 1/1 pans sit over a water drain.

Cooling and energy

The A140/3MPBR has a rated cooling capacity of 448 W / 368 W / 540 W (evaporating at -10 °C/-30 °C, condensing at +55 °C). On 220-240 V 50-60 Hz it draws 2,250 W at 10.3 A, with electric defrost. No energy label is published for the remote A140/3MPBR, whose consumption depends on the condensing unit it is paired with; a solenoid valve is supplied as standard.

Choosing between codes

The plug-in A140/3MPB has the same temperature ranges but carries its own R290 unit: it weighs 260 kg net against 220 kg for the A140/3MPBR, and is listed at 220-240 V 50 Hz instead of 220-240 V 50-60 Hz. The same 3-door body is also listed as A140/3MMBR (-2/+8 °C / -2/+8 °C / -18/-22 °C).

Marine version

According to Coldline, the Master Marine section is intended for ships and for oil and floating platforms, where Master refrigeration is combined with marine safety specifications. Coldline does not publish a separate data sheet for the marine build, so the data here is for the standard A140/3MPBR and the marine specification is agreed with Coldline at quotation. The remote A140/3MPBR is listed for 220-240 V 50-60 Hz, and other special voltages appear among its variants. Accessories for the A140/3MPBR include stainless steel GN 2/1 shelves, 150 mm stainless steel drawers, bottle shelves, castors, an RS485 serial interface and Cosmo cable or Wi-Fi kits.

Size and handling

External dimensions of the A140/3MPBR are 1,480 × 815 × 2,085 mm (W × D × H) and net weight is 220 kg. In its packing it grows to 1,575 × 930 × 2,144 mm and 230 kg, which is what has to pass the doors and hatches on the route aboard.
