Electrolux Professional Refrigerator 725232 – ecostore, 2 Glass Door Digital Refrigerator, 1430lt (+2 /+10)

At 1430 liter gross capacity and 1025 lt net volume, the 725232 is one of the larger upright chilled cabinets in the ecostore line. The footprint of 1441 x 835 mm, with a 2050 mm external height, makes it a double-door solution for galleys that need substantial chilled storage in a single bank.

The operating temperature band is 2 to 10 °C, which places this model firmly in the vertical chilled category rather than mixed or low-temperature storage. On a vessel this matters because provision rooms and galleys can run warm; a cabinet that holds 2–10 °C as a ventilated system, and is tropicalised for high ambient temperatures, is a defined piece of the HACCP chain rather than just a convenience fridge. The 220-240 V/1 ph/50 Hz supply points to use where a single-phase service is available or where the ship is aligned with shore-grid frequency.

Internally, the 725232 is dimensioned around Gastronorm: it ships with 6 GN 2/1 grids, supported on 44 positions at a 30 mm pitch. That density of shelf positions lets the designer choose between tall loading and closer spacing without buying extra hardware. The operating mode is ventilated, so chilled air is distributed rather than relying on static convection, which in practice reduces temperature variation between levels when fully loaded. The unit uses 417 W of refrigeration power at an evaporation temperature of −10 °C, on R290 refrigerant. R290 is a hydrocarbon with a very low global warming potential compared to older HFCs, and the E energy class with an Energy Efficiency Index of 83.25 under EU Reg. 2015/1094 gives a defined benchmark for daily running cost calculations.

Construction is all AISI 304 stainless steel. The external skin, internal liner and internal panels are all Stainless Steel AISI 304, which simplifies cleaning routines and avoids mixed-material joints in splash zones. Rounded internal corners are specified, so there are fewer soil traps in the storage volume. The evaporator is hidden, which has two consequences aboard: the internal volume remains clear for product and GN grids, and the coil is protected from direct impact and cleaning water. Defrost water is managed through hot-gas defrost water evaporation, removing the need for a separate drain connection from the cabinet. With two glass doors, stock is visible without opening the cabinet, which shortens door-open time and helps the cabinet stay within its 2–10 °C band.

HACCP data logging and network connectivity shift this cabinet from a stand-alone box to an integrated monitored store: temperature history and alarms can be pulled from the unit rather than written by hand. The lockable door is a stock-control feature as well as a hygiene one, especially when the cabinet sits in a shared galley.

This model is the right choice where a galley needs high-volume, GN 2/1-compatible chilled storage with product on show through two glass doors and where a 220-240 V/1 ph/50 Hz supply is already in place. It is not the best fit for spaces with very limited deck area, where a single-door cabinet or a smaller net volume would leave more room for preparation or passage.
