Hoshizaki Cube Ice Maker IM-130A – I-FIT, Self-Contained, Air-cooled, 116 kg/24h

Hoshizaki rates the IM-130A at 116 kg of cubes a day at 21 °C ambient and 15 °C water. In a cooler space that rises to 120 kg; in a hot galley at 32 °C it falls to 90 kg. Ice is held in the machine, 52 kg (bin control setting about 34 kg). Call it 4.8 kg an hour at the middle rating.

How it works

Each cycle runs 23 min and releases 1.8 kg in 80 cubes; the cells are filled with fresh water every time and cleared by hot gas defrost. Water use at the middle rating is about 250 liters a day, roughly 2.2 liters per kilo of ice.

Electrical and physical data

Single phase 220-240 V feeds it. The motor is rated 630 W at 97%, the machine draws 2.7 A and pulls 25 A on start, so the circuit wants 1.64 kVA (6.9 A) or more. The cabinet measures 660 x 570 x 1,200 mm and weighs 79 kg net, 98 kg in its carton. Plan for 1,410 W of heat going into the space. It holds 350 g of R404A, metered by a thermostatic expansion valve.

On board

The I-FIT sheets carry 60 Hz figures as well as 50 Hz, so this is one of the machines that fits a 60 Hz vessel without a question to the factory (126 kg a day at 60 Hz). Working limits are 1 to 40 °C in the room, water at 5 to 35 °C and 0.07 to 0.78 MPa (0.7 to 8 bar), with voltage inside ±6%. Water comes in at G1/2 at the rear and the drain outlet is 22 mm ID at the rear. The 2026 price list marks the I-FIT series as non-CE, so we check what the flag state and class need before ordering.
