Hoshizaki Cube Ice Maker IM-220AWB Overview
Hoshizaki rates the IM-220AWB at 185 kg of cubes a day at 21 °C ambient with 15 °C water, and at about 200 kg a day on a 60 Hz supply. Because the condenser is cooled by water rather than air, output holds up in a hot machinery space better than an air-cooled cuber does. It has no bin of its own and sits on a storage bin (B-301SA, B-501SA, B-801SA). Call it 7.7 kg an hour at the middle rating.
Cycle and water
A freezing cycle takes about 22.5 min and drops 3.2 kg in 140 cubes, each one filled with fresh water in a closed cell, then released with hot gas. The cabinet measures 560 x 639 x 775 mm and weighs 69 kg net, 76 kg in its carton. It holds 400 g of R404A, metered by a thermostatic expansion valve.
Installing it
The I-FIT sheets carry 60 Hz figures as well as 50 Hz, so this is one of the machines that fits a 60 Hz vessel without a question to the factory (200 kg a day at 60 Hz). Keep the room within 1 to 40 °C, the water at 5 to 35 °C and the pressure at 0.07 to 0.78 MPa (0.7 to 8 bar); voltage tolerance is ±6%. Water comes in at G3/4 (condenser inlet Rc1/2) and the drain is R3/4 (condenser outlet Rc1/2). The 2026 price list marks the I-FIT series as non-CE, so we check what the flag state and class need before ordering.
