The Coldline A140/2BV is a two glass-door freezer from the Master 1400 range, holding -18/-22 °C in a cabinet of 1,356 litres gross and 899 litres net. In the code A140/2BV, A140 is the 1400 body, /2 the number of doors, B the -18/-22 °C range and V the glass door. The plug-in A140/2BV carries its own condensing unit, charged with 150 g of R290, GWP 3. Master Marine solutions appears among the variants Coldline lists for the A140/2BV.

Build and fittings

Coldline ships the A140/2BV with 6 slides for GN 2/1 shelves, 6 plastic coated GN 2/1 shelves, lock with key, LED lighting. The A140/2BV has two self-closing doors with a 105° stop, hinged on the right, glazed, as the V in the code shows. A 75 mm insulated single body in AISI 304 stainless steel, with galvanized/colaminated back, base and technical compartment, encloses 899 litres of storage with rounded inner corners. On the A140/2BV the magnetic triple-chamber gaskets are replaceable, while racks, slides, the 2 mm handle and the 100/150 mm adjustable feet are AISI 304. An electronic controller with a flush display sets the -18/-22 °C range.

Refrigeration data

Coldline gives the A140/2BV a cooling capacity of 692 W (evaporating at -30 °C, condensing at +55 °C) and a total rate of 1,100 W at 5 A on 220-240 V 50 Hz; defrost is hot gas. Its energy label is class E, with an energy efficiency index of 83.3, 4,918 kWh a year and 13.473 kWh in 24 hours at climate class 4.

Choosing between codes

Its remote counterpart, the A140/2BRV, moves the condensing unit out of the galley and its heat with it; it runs on R452a, is listed at 220-240 V 50-60 Hz and weighs 235 kg net against 245 kg. With a solid door, as the A140/2B, published consumption falls from 4,918 to 2,919 kWh a year. In the same configuration, the smaller A120/2BV holds 1,155 litres gross in 1,480 mm width, against 1,356 litres in 1,480 mm for the A140/2BV.
