Coldline Freezer Master 700 XL AS70/1B – 1 door, -18/-22 °C, Plug-in, 601 l

The Coldline AS70/1B is a single-door freezer from the Master 700 XL range, holding -18/-22 °C in a cabinet of 601 litres gross and 499 litres net. In the code AS70/1B, AS70 is the 700 XL body, /1 the number of doors and B the -18/-22 °C range. The plug-in AS70/1B carries its own condensing unit, charged with 125 g of R290, GWP 3. Master Marine solutions appears among the variants Coldline lists for the AS70/1B.

Inside the cabinet

As supplied, the AS70/1B comes with 3 slides for 650x588 mm shelves, 3 plastic coated 650x588 mm shelves, lock with key. The AS70/1B has a self-closing door with a 105° stop, hinged on the right. The 499 litre chamber is AISI 304 stainless steel with rounded corners inside a single body insulated with 75 mm of CFC/HCFC-free material; the back, base and technical compartment are galvanized/colaminated steel. Racks, slides, the 2 mm handle and the feet (adjustable from 100 to 150 mm) are AISI 304, and the triple-chamber magnetic gasket on the AS70/1B can be replaced. The AS70/1B is run from an electronic control whose display sits flush with the panel. Master 700 XL cabinets have moulded rails on the chamber sides so the XL grids can be moved between 7 levels; Coldline states 10% more storage than a standard model of the same size.

Cooling and energy

Coldline gives the AS70/1B a cooling capacity of 453 W (evaporating at -30 °C, condensing at +55 °C) and a total rate of 810 W at 3.7 A on 220-240 V 50 Hz; defrost is hot gas. Its energy label is class C, with an energy efficiency index of 49.3, 1,938 kWh a year and 5.31 kWh in 24 hours at climate class 5.

Its remote counterpart, the AS70/1BR, moves the condensing unit out of the galley and its heat with it; it runs on R452a, is listed at 220-240 V 50-60 Hz and weighs 115 kg net against 135 kg. The glass-door AS70/1BV shows the stock without opening the door but uses 3,223 kWh a year against 1,938 kWh for the AS70/1B.

Marine version

Coldline builds the Master Marine section for installation on ships, oil platforms and floating platforms, pairing the Master series' refrigeration with the safety specifications vessels require. Coldline does not publish a separate data sheet for the marine build, so the data here is for the standard AS70/1B and the marine specification is agreed with Coldline at quotation. At 220-240 V 50 Hz as published, the AS70/1B can also be ordered with a 60 Hz supply or another special voltage, both listed as variants. Accessories for the AS70/1B include castors, an RS485 serial interface and Cosmo cable or Wi-Fi kits.

Size and handling

The AS70/1B measures 740 mm wide, 815 mm deep and 2,085 mm high and weighs 135 kg net. Packed it is 835 × 930 × 2,145 mm and 155 kg, the size to check against doors, hatches and passageways on the way to the galley or provision store.
