The Coldline A140/3MBL is a three-door, L-chamber multi-temperature cabinet from the Master Combi 1400 range, holding -2/+8 °C and -18/-22 °C in a cabinet of 1,444 litres gross and 648 + 173 litres net. In the code A140/3MBL, A140 is the 1400 body, /3 the number of doors, MB the compartment ranges in order (-2/+8 °C, -18/-22 °C) and L the L-shaped chamber. Its 648 + 173 litres are split between compartments, so chilled stock and frozen stock are kept in one 1,480 mm wide body behind separate doors. The plug-in A140/3MBL carries its own condensing unit, charged with 105 g of R290, GWP 3. Coldline offers the A140/3MBL with its Master Marine solutions variant.

Construction

Coldline ships the A140/3MBL with 7 slides for GN 2/1 shelves, 7 plastic coated GN 2/1 shelves, lock with key, LED lighting. The A140/3MBL has three self-closing, reversible doors with a 105° stop. A 75 mm insulated single body in AISI 304 stainless steel, with galvanized/colaminated back, base and technical compartment, encloses 648 + 173 litres of storage with rounded inner corners. Its magnetic triple-chamber gasket can be replaced, the handle is 2 mm AISI 304, and the AISI 304 feet adjust between 100 and 150 mm under the 2,085 mm high cabinet. An electronic controller with a flush display sets the compartment temperatures.

Technical data

The A140/3MBL has a rated cooling capacity of 533 W / 356 W (evaporating at -10 °C/-30 °C, condensing at +55 °C). On 220-240 V 50 Hz it draws 760 W at 3.5 A, with hot gas defrost. The A140/3MBL is rated for climate class 5; no energy label figures are published for this multi-temperature code.

Compared with other Master codes

Its remote counterpart, the A140/3MBRL, moves the condensing unit out of the galley and its heat with it; it runs on R452a, is listed at 220-240 V 50-60 Hz and weighs 220 kg net against 250 kg. The same 3-door body is also listed as A140/3MML (-2/+8 °C / -2/+8 °C) and A140/3MPL (-2/+8 °C / -6/+4 °C).

Marine version

Coldline builds the Master Marine section for installation on ships, oil platforms and floating platforms, pairing the Master series' refrigeration with the safety specifications vessels require. Coldline does not publish a separate data sheet for the marine build, so the data here is for the standard A140/3MBL and the marine specification is agreed with Coldline at quotation. At 220-240 V 50 Hz as published, the A140/3MBL can also be ordered with a 60 Hz supply or another special voltage, both listed as variants. Accessories for the A140/3MBL include stainless steel GN 2/1 shelves, 150 mm stainless steel drawers, bottle shelves, castors, an RS485 serial interface and Cosmo cable or Wi-Fi kits.

Getting it on board

External dimensions of the A140/3MBL are 1,480 × 815 × 2,085 mm (W × D × H) and net weight is 250 kg. In its packing it grows to 1,575 × 930 × 2,145 mm and 260 kg, which is what has to pass the doors and hatches on the route aboard.
