The Coldline A140/3MPB is a three-door multi-temperature cabinet from the Master Fish Combi 1400 range, holding -2/+8 °C, -6/+4 °C and -18/-22 °C in a cabinet of 1,163 litres gross and 621 + 173 litres net. In the code A140/3MPB, A140 is the 1400 body, /3 the number of doors and MPB the compartment ranges in order (-2/+8 °C, -6/+4 °C, -18/-22 °C). Its 621 + 173 litres are split between compartments, so chilled stock, fish and frozen stock are kept in one 1,480 mm wide body behind separate doors. The plug-in A140/3MPB carries its own condensing unit, charged with 90 g of R290, GWP 3. Coldline offers the A140/3MPB with its Master Marine solutions variant.

Inside the cabinet

As supplied, the A140/3MPB comes with 7 slides for GN 2/1 shelves, 5 plastic coated GN 2/1 shelves, 4 ABS GN 1/1 pans, lock with key, LED lighting, water drain. The A140/3MPB has three self-closing, reversible doors with a 105° stop. The 621 + 173 litre compartments are AISI 304 stainless steel with rounded corners inside a single body insulated with 75 mm of CFC/HCFC-free material; the back, base and technical compartment are galvanized/colaminated steel. Racks, slides, the 2 mm handle and the feet (adjustable from 100 to 150 mm) are AISI 304, and the triple-chamber magnetic gaskets on the A140/3MPB can be replaced. Compartment temperatures are set on an electronic control with the display flush to the panel. The fish section is Coldline's answer to storing fresh fish: molluscs, crustaceans, fish slices, fillets and whole fish. In the A140/3MPB the ABS GN 1/1 pans sit over a water drain.

Refrigeration data

Coldline gives the A140/3MPB a cooling capacity of 406 W / 406 W / 356 W (evaporating at -10 °C, condensing at +55 °C) and a total rate of 940 W at 4.3 A on 220-240 V 50 Hz; defrost is hot gas. The A140/3MPB is rated for climate class 5; no energy label figures are published for this multi-temperature code.

Compared with other Master codes

Its remote counterpart, the A140/3MPBR, moves the condensing unit out of the galley and its heat with it; it runs on R452a, is listed at 220-240 V 50-60 Hz and weighs 220 kg net against 260 kg. The same 3-door body is also listed as A140/3MMM (-2/+8 °C / -2/+8 °C / -2/+8 °C) and A140/3MMB (-2/+8 °C / -2/+8 °C / -18/-22 °C).

Marine version

Coldline builds the Master Marine section for installation on ships, oil platforms and floating platforms, pairing the Master series' refrigeration with the safety specifications vessels require. What is published is the data for the standard A140/3MPB. The marine build has no data sheet of its own, and we confirm its details with Coldline before an order. At 220-240 V 50 Hz as published, the A140/3MPB can also be ordered with a 60 Hz supply or another special voltage, both listed as variants. Accessories for the A140/3MPB include stainless steel GN 2/1 shelves, 150 mm stainless steel drawers, bottle shelves, castors, an RS485 serial interface and Cosmo cable or Wi-Fi kits.

Dimensions and weight

External dimensions of the A140/3MPB are 1,480 × 815 × 2,085 mm (W × D × H) and net weight is 260 kg. In its packing it grows to 1,575 × 930 × 2,144 mm and 270 kg, which is what has to pass the doors and hatches on the route aboard.
