The Coldline A140/3MPL is a three-door, L-chamber multi-temperature cabinet from the Master Fish Combi 1400 range, holding -2/+8 °C and -6/+4 °C in a cabinet of 1,444 litres gross and 820 litres net. In the code A140/3MPL, A140 is the 1400 body, /3 the number of doors, MP the compartment ranges in order (-2/+8 °C, -6/+4 °C) and L the L-shaped chamber. Its 820 litres are split between compartments, so chilled stock and fish are kept in one 1,480 mm wide body behind separate doors. The plug-in A140/3MPL carries its own condensing unit, charged with 105 g of R290, GWP 3. Coldline offers the A140/3MPL with its Master Marine solutions variant.

Inside the cabinet

Coldline ships the A140/3MPL with 7 slides for GN 2/1 shelves, 5 plastic coated GN 2/1 shelves, 4 ABS GN 1/1 pans, lock with key, LED lighting, water drain. The A140/3MPL has three self-closing, reversible doors with a 105° stop. Inside and out the A140/3MPL is AISI 304 stainless steel, apart from a galvanized/colaminated back, base and technical compartment, with 75 mm of CFC/HCFC-free insulation around 820 litres of storage whose corners are rounded for cleaning. Racks, slides, the 2 mm handle and the feet (adjustable from 100 to 150 mm) are AISI 304, and the triple-chamber magnetic gaskets on the A140/3MPL can be replaced. Compartment temperatures are set on an electronic control with the display flush to the panel. The fish section is Coldline's answer to storing fresh fish: molluscs, crustaceans, fish slices, fillets and whole fish. In the A140/3MPL the ABS GN 1/1 pans sit over a water drain.

Refrigeration data

The A140/3MPL has a rated cooling capacity of 533 W / 406 W (evaporating at -10 °C, condensing at +55 °C). On 220-240 V 50 Hz it draws 480 W at 2.2 A, with hot gas defrost. Its energy label is class C, with an energy efficiency index of 45.2, 885 kWh a year and 2.425 kWh in 24 hours at climate class 5.

Compared with other Master codes

Its remote counterpart, the A140/3MPRL, moves the condensing unit out of the galley and its heat with it; it runs on R452a, is listed at 220-240 V 50-60 Hz and weighs 220 kg net against 240 kg. The same 3-door body is also listed as A140/3MML (-2/+8 °C / -2/+8 °C) and A140/3MBL (-2/+8 °C / -18/-22 °C).

Marine version

Coldline builds the Master Marine section for installation on ships, oil platforms and floating platforms, pairing the Master series' refrigeration with the safety specifications vessels require. What is published is the data for the standard A140/3MPL. The marine build has no data sheet of its own, and we confirm its details with Coldline before an order. Coldline publishes the A140/3MPL at 220-240 V 50 Hz and lists a 60 Hz supply and other special voltages among its variants. Accessories for the A140/3MPL include stainless steel GN 2/1 shelves, 150 mm stainless steel drawers, bottle shelves, castors, an RS485 serial interface and Cosmo cable or Wi-Fi kits.

Dimensions and weight

The A140/3MPL measures 1,480 mm wide, 815 mm deep and 2,085 mm high and weighs 240 kg net. Packed it is 1,575 × 930 × 2,144 mm and 250 kg, the size to check against doors, hatches and passageways on the way to the galley or provision store.
