On a ship, that 2050 mm cabinet height and 1480 mm door-open depth define where the unit can sit without fouling deckheads or traffic routes. The cabinet is tropicalised and rated Heavy Duty (5) climate class, which ties it to warm provision stores and galleys where ambient temperature and door openings are not under tight shore-side control. Supply is 220-230 V/1 ph/60 Hz, so it connects to the dedicated single-phase refrigeration distribution rather than competing with cooking loads on a three-phase board.

The operating band is −22 to −15 °C, delivered by a ventilated refrigeration system built around 481 W of refrigeration power at an evaporation temperature of −30 °C. That is paired with R290 refrigerant at a 100 g charge. R290 sits in energy class D here with an Energy Efficiency Index of 72.47 under EU Regulation 2015/1094, so energy consumption is predictable against a published benchmark, which matters when several 670 liter cabinets share the same cold room or galley supply.

Internally, the 725234 is laid out around GN 2/1 containers, with 3 GN 2/1 grids supplied as standard and 44 shelf positions on a 30 mm pitch. This gives enough adjustment to keep boxed and loose product inside the cold air stream rather than stacked against the back wall, a frequent issue in smaller cabinets. The hidden evaporator and hot-gas defrost water evaporation keep coils and drain hardware out of the working volume, which cuts down both on corrosion exposure and on components that need manual attention during service.

This is the right choice where a single full-height, 670 liter vertical freezer can be dedicated to frozen stores, and where the vessel already distributes 220-230 V/1 ph/60 Hz for refrigeration. It is not the best fit where only a small buffer of frozen goods is held aboard; in that case, a smaller-volume cabinet or a shared refrigerator/freezer arrangement may free deck and store space for other uses.
