A gross capacity of 670 liter in a 710 mm wide cabinet is the starting point for the 725458 ecostore freezer. Within that shell the net usable volume is 503 lt, and that is the figure that should be matched to menu cycles and bunkering intervals when frozen stores are planned.

The cabinet is specified as a vertical freezer with an operating band from −22 °C to −15 °C. It is classified to climate class Heavy Duty (5), and is described as tropicalised for high ambient temperatures. On a vessel where provision rooms tend to run warm and access is frequent, selecting a heavy-duty (5) model gives more headroom than a light-duty cabinet that assumes a cooler plant room.

Externally the unit measures 710 mm in width, 835 mm in depth and 2050 mm in height. With the door open the depth extends to 1480 mm, a dimension that needs checking against passage widths and the position of pillars and bulkheads so the door can swing fully without fouling. There is one door, and it is lockable, which matters where stock control and restricted access are part of the operating discipline as much as food protection.

Internally the layout is built around three GN 2/1 grids supplied as standard. The side panels offer 44 positions at a 30 mm pitch, so the crew can re-space the shelves to suit cartons or Gastronorm pans within the 503 lt net volume. The operating mode is ventilated, moving air across those levels to reduce temperature variation when products are loaded and when the door is opened repeatedly. Refrigeration power is quoted at 581 W at an evaporation temperature of −30 °C, using R290 refrigerant with a 90 g charge. The unit is rated energy class D with an Energy Efficiency Index of 72,59 under EU Regulation 2015/1094, which is a planning input where energy budgets are being compared across different store options.

Construction is all stainless steel AISI 304: external material, internal material and internal panels. Rounded internal corners are part of making routine cleaning manageable in a provision store that has to pass inspection, because they remove the ledges where soil and ice can accumulate. The control is digital, and the specification includes HACCP data logging and network connectivity for remote monitoring, so temperature history can be captured without manual logging routines.

The hidden evaporator keeps the coil out of the storage volume, giving smoother internal walls and protecting it from direct impact, while hot-gas defrost water evaporation removes the task of emptying an external tray. The removable magnetic door gasket is the part most likely to need replacement over the life of the cabinet, and being able to change it without tools keeps that work in-house.

This is the right choice where the galley or provision store needs a full-height Heavy Duty (5) vertical freezer with 503 lt net volume, HACCP logging and a 220-240 V/1 ph/50 Hz supply. It is the wrong choice where the room cannot accept 2050 mm of height or 835 mm of depth, or where the specification demands an energy rating higher than class D under EU Regulation 2015/1094.
