Hoshizaki Cube Ice Maker IM-130CPE-U-32 – Self-Contained, Air-cooled, 116 kg/24h, XL Cube

The IM-130CPE-U-32 makes up to 116 kg of cubes a day and keeps 38 kg of it in its own bin, so it only needs power, water and a drain to start working. That works out to roughly 4.8 kg an hour. At that rate the 38 kg bin takes around 7.9 hours to rebuild after a busy service.

This 116 kg/day machine is the UltraCUBE build, so it has UV-C sanitization of the water tank. UV-C flashes treat the IM-130CPE-U-32's water tank between cleanings. Plan for 1.45 kW of heat into the space at 32 °C. It uses about 430 liters of water a day, or roughly 3.7 liters for every kilo of ice. Refrigerant is 125 g of flammable R290 (A3), a figure the yard or class surveyor will ask for. Hoshizaki lists automated cleaning and UV-C sanitization for the IM-130CPE-U-32.

Installation notes

Operating limits for the IM-130CPE-U-32 are 1 to 40 °C ambient, 5 to 35 °C water and 0.7 to 8 bar, so check the space and the fresh water line against those. Being air-cooled, the IM-130CPE-U-32 warms the space it stands in by about 1.45 kW; in a small pantry that is worth planning for.
