Hoshizaki Cube Ice Maker IM-130CPE – Self-Contained, Air-cooled, 108 kg/24h, L Cube

With 108 kg of cubes a day and a 38 kg storage bin, the IM-130CPE is a self-contained air-cooled cube machine for bars, pantries and small galleys. That works out to roughly 4.5 kg an hour. An empty 38 kg bin fills in roughly 8.4 hours at that rate.

Which IM-130CPE to pick

In the IM CUBE family the IM-130CPE is the Basic Cube, which means no drain pump and no UV-C unit. Cube size on the IM-130CPE is L (28 x 28 x 32 mm), the standard size with no suffix. Heat released into the room is 1.45 kW at 32 °C ambient. Daily water use is 430 liters, or roughly 4 liters for every kilo of ice. Its refrigerant is R290 (propane, class A3), 125 g of it, which matters when you decide where the IM-130CPE goes. Functions on the IM-130CPE include automated cleaning.

Fitting it on a vessel

Operating limits for the IM-130CPE are 1 to 40 °C ambient, 5 to 35 °C water and 0.7 to 8 bar, so check the space and the fresh water line against those. The condenser blows about 1.45 kW of warm air into the room, which a bar with poor ventilation will notice. For water treatment, fit the 4HC-H twin filter ahead of the IM-130CPE.
