Hoshizaki Cube Ice Maker IM-130CPE Overview

The Hoshizaki IM-130CPE is a self-contained air-cooled cube ice maker producing up to 108 kg of cubes in 24 hours, with a 38 kg built-in storage bin. In the IM CUBE range it is the Basic Cube and it makes the L cube (28 × 28 × 32 mm), the standard size with no suffix.

Choosing between versions

The same machine is listed as IM-130CPE-U (UltraCUBE). Other cube sizes of the IM-130CPE: IM-130CPE-23, M cube, 103 kg a day and IM-130CPE-32, XL cube, 116 kg a day.

Technical data

The IM-130CPE measures 1,004 × 600 × 700 mm (W × D × H) without legs (for legs add 100mm) and weighs 80 kg net. Electrical consumption is 0.57 kW and heat rejection 1.45 kW at 32 °C ambient and 21 °C water, with 0.43 m³ of water used per 24 hours. The IM-130CPE runs on 125 g of R290, GWP 3. R290 is a natural refrigerant classified A3, higher flammability, so the charge belongs in the installation specification. Electrically the IM-130CPE is rated for single phase 220-240 V 50 Hz, with a voltage tolerance of ±6% and a 5 A circuit breaker. Functions listed by Hoshizaki: automated cleaning.

On board

Hoshizaki gives operating limits of ambient temperatures from 1 to 40 °C, water supply temperatures from 5 to 35 °C and water pressure from 0.7 to 8 bar, which is what the space and the vessel's fresh water system have to meet for the IM-130CPE. Being air-cooled, it rejects its heat into the space, so the ventilation of the galley or bar has to take it. For water treatment Hoshizaki pairs it with the 4HC-H twin water filter system and its 4HC replacement cartridges. For shipboard use the IM-130CPE is quoted against the vessel's own supply, water pressure and space. The figures here are Hoshizaki's published data for the standard unit, and anything that differs on board is agreed at quotation.

Send us the vessel type, the supply voltage and frequency and where the IM-130CPE will stand, and we will quote it with the matching water filter.
