Hoshizaki Cube Ice Maker IM-130PE-U Overview

The IM-130PE-U makes up to 116 kg of cubes a day and keeps 50 kg of it in its own bin, so it only needs power, water and a drain to start working. That works out to roughly 4.8 kg an hour. At that rate the 50 kg bin takes around 10 hours to rebuild after a busy service.

Related models

The version suffix tells you what is inside: the IM-130PE-U is the UltraCUBE and comes with UV-C sanitization of the water tank. UV-C flashes treat the IM-130PE-U's water tank between cleanings. The IM-130PE-U makes the L cube, 28 x 28 x 32 mm, the standard size with no suffix. The same machine also comes as IM-130PE (Basic Cube), IM-130PE-F (FlexiCUBE) and IM-130PE-E (EliteCUBE). With a different cube it is the IM-130PE-U-32 (XL cube, 108 kg a day) and IM-130PE-U-23 (M cube, 110 kg a day). There is also a water-cooled version, the IM-130WPE-U, rated at 108 kg a day, using 600 liters of water a day against 470 liters here and putting 1.02 kW of heat into the room instead of 1.45 kW.

In numbers

Footprint is 704 x 506 mm with a height of 1,210 mm before legs (add 70-110mm); net weight is 71 kg. Electrically it needs single-phase 220-240 V 50 Hz, drawing 0.565 kW, within ±6%, on a 5 A breaker. Plan for 1.45 kW of heat into the space at 32 °C. Daily water use is 470 liters, or roughly 4.1 liters for every kilo of ice. The IM-130PE-U runs on 140 g of R290, which is propane (safety class A3), so the charge belongs on the installation paperwork. On the control side the IM-130PE-U gives you automated cleaning and UV-C sanitization.

Where the IM-130PE-U fits

Keep the room around the IM-130PE-U between 1 and 40 °C and the incoming water between 5 and 35 °C at 0.7 to 8 bar. Expect roughly 1.45 kW of extra heat in the room from this air-cooled unit. Hoshizaki matches the IM-130PE-U with the 4HC-H twin filter system. Supply, water and fixing for the IM-130PE-U are confirmed per vessel when we quote, since the figures above describe Hoshizaki's standard build.
