Hoshizaki Cube Ice Maker IM-130WPE-E-23 – Self-Contained, Water-cooled, 99 kg/24h, M Cube

The IM-130WPE-E-23 makes up to 99 kg of cubes a day and keeps 50 kg of it in its own bin, so it only needs power, water and a drain to start working. Spread over a day, it is about 4.1 kg per hour. At that rate the 50 kg bin takes around 12 hours to rebuild after a busy service.

Choosing the version

The version suffix tells you what is inside: the IM-130WPE-E-23 is the EliteCUBE and comes with both the drain pump and UV-C sanitization. With the pump, the drain for the IM-130WPE-E-23 can be 10 m away and 1.5 m higher, so you place the machine where the 704 mm cabinet fits best. Technical details

It measures 704 x 506 x 1,210 mm (W x D x H) before legs (add 70-110mm) and weighs 72 kg empty. It draws 0.525 kW from a single-phase 220-240 V 50 Hz supply, within ±6%, on a 5 A breaker. At 32 °C room temperature it releases 1.02 kW of heat. Water consumption comes to 600 liters per 24 hours, or roughly 6.1 liters for every kilo of ice. Refrigerant is 147 g of flammable R290 (A3), a figure the yard or class surveyor will ask for. On the control side the IM-130WPE-E-23 gives you automated cleaning, UV-C sanitization and internal drain pump.

Installation notes

Hoshizaki allows 1 to 40 °C in the room for the IM-130WPE-E-23, water at 5 to 35 °C and a supply pressure of 0.7 to 8 bar. The water-cooled condenser suits tight, badly ventilated spaces, but the IM-130WPE-E-23 needs a steady supply of cooling water, around 600 liters a day in total.
