Hoshizaki Cube Ice Maker IM-130WPE-U – Self-Contained, Water-cooled, 108 kg/24h, L Cube

The IM-130WPE-U makes up to 108 kg of cubes a day and keeps 50 kg of it in its own bin, so it only needs power, water and a drain to start working. That works out to roughly 4.5 kg an hour. From empty, its 50 kg bin takes about 11 hours to fill.

As the UltraCUBE version of the IM-130WPE, this machine comes with UV-C sanitization of the water tank. UV-C flashes treat the IM-130WPE-U's water tank between cleanings. Each cube from the IM-130WPE-U is 28 x 28 x 32 mm (size L), the standard size with no suffix. If the version does not suit, the same body is sold as IM-130WPE (Basic Cube), IM-130WPE-F (FlexiCUBE) and IM-130WPE-E (EliteCUBE). Need a different cube? Technical details

Footprint is 704 x 506 mm with a height of 1,210 mm before legs (add 70-110mm); net weight is 71 kg. Electrically it needs single-phase 220-240 V 50 Hz, drawing 0.53 kW, within ±6%, on a 5 A breaker. At 32 °C room temperature it releases 1.02 kW of heat. It uses about 600 liters of water a day, or roughly 5.6 liters for every kilo of ice. Inside the IM-130WPE-U is a 147 g R290 charge, and R290 is propane rated A3 for flammability. Hoshizaki lists automated cleaning and UV-C sanitization for the IM-130WPE-U.

Fitting it on a vessel

Hoshizaki allows 1 to 40 °C in the room for the IM-130WPE-U, water at 5 to 35 °C and a supply pressure of 0.7 to 8 bar. Water cooling keeps most of the heat out of the room, at the cost of about 600 liters a day from the tanks or watermaker.
