Hoshizaki Cube Ice Maker IM-240DPE-U-32 Overview
The IM-240DPE-U-32 is a modular cube head. It makes up to 190 kg of cubes a day but has no bin of its own, so it is always ordered with a storage bin (Hoshizaki lists the B-340SB). Averaged out, the machine turns out about 7.9 kg an hour.
Choosing the version
Hoshizaki sells the IM-240DPE in four versions, and this one, the UltraCUBE, has UV-C sanitization of the water tank. Between scheduled cleanings, UV-C light treats the tank water inside the IM-240DPE-U-32. Cubes from the IM-240DPE-U-32 come out 32 x 32 x 32 mm, which Hoshizaki calls size XL, marked by the -32 in the code. The same machine also comes as IM-240DPE-32 (Basic Cube). Need a different cube? At 32 °C room temperature it releases 2.25 kW of heat. It uses about 530 liters of water a day, or roughly 2.8 liters for every kilo of ice. The IM-240DPE-U-32 runs on 147 g of R290, which is propane (safety class A3), so the charge belongs on the installation paperwork.
