Hoshizaki Cube Ice Maker IM-240XWPE-U-23 – Modular & Stackable Extension, Water-cooled, 190 kg/24h, M Cube

Hoshizaki rates the modular IM-240XWPE-U-23 at 190 kg of cubes per 24 hours, and you pair it with a storage bin sized to the ice needed at the start of service (Hoshizaki lists the B-340SB). As the extension unit, it goes on top of a matching base unit, so two heads fill a single bin. Spread over a day, it is about 7.9 kg per hour.

This 190 kg/day machine is the UltraCUBE build, so it has UV-C sanitization of the water tank. In the IM-240XWPE-U-23 the UV-C unit works on the tank water between regular cleanings. Cubes from the IM-240XWPE-U-23 come out 28 x 28 x 23 mm, which Hoshizaki calls size M, marked by the -23 in the code. The same machine also comes as IM-240XWPE-23 (Basic Cube). Operating limits for the IM-240XWPE-U-23 are 1 to 40 °C ambient, 5 to 35 °C water and 0.7 to 8 bar, so check the space and the fresh water line against those. With water cooling, only 1.47 kW reaches the room; the price is roughly 980 liters of water per day. Pair it with a 4HC-H twin filter; at 190 kg a day that is the size Hoshizaki specifies.
