Hoshizaki Cube Ice Maker IM-30CWPE-U-25 – Self-Contained, Water-cooled, 30 kg/24h, S Cube

The IM-30CWPE-U-25 makes up to 30 kg of cubes a day and keeps 11.5 kg of it in its own bin, so it only needs power, water and a drain to start working. Spread over a day, it is about 1.2 kg per hour. At that rate the 11.5 kg bin takes around 9.2 hours to rebuild after a busy service.

Versions and cube size

As the UltraCUBE version of the IM-30CWPE, this machine comes with UV-C sanitization of the water tank. UV-C flashes treat the IM-30CWPE-U-25's water tank between cleanings. Each cube from the IM-30CWPE-U-25 is 25 x 25 x 23 mm (size S), marked by the -25 in the code. If the version does not suit, the same body is sold as IM-30CWPE-25 (Basic Cube). Other cube sizes: IM-30CWPE-U (L cube, 32 kg a day). Compare it with the air-cooled IM-30CPE-U-25, which makes 27 kg a day, using 140 liters of water a day against 140 liters here and putting 0.57 kW of heat into the room instead of 0.31 kW.

Technical details

The cabinet is 398 mm wide, 461 mm deep and 695 mm tall before legs (add 92-127mm), and weighs 37 kg. It draws 0.175 kW from a single-phase 220-240 V 50 Hz supply, within ±6%, on a 5 A breaker. Plan for 0.31 kW of heat into the space at 32 °C. Daily water use is 140 liters, or roughly 4.7 liters for every kilo of ice. Refrigerant is 70 g of flammable R290 (A3), a figure the yard or class surveyor will ask for. On the control side the IM-30CWPE-U-25 gives you automated cleaning and UV-C sanitization.

Installation notes

The IM-30CWPE-U-25 is rated for rooms at 1 to 40 °C, with feed water between 5 and 35 °C at 0.7 to 8 bar. With water cooling, only 0.31 kW reaches the room; the price is roughly 140 liters of water per day. Pair it with a 4HC-H single filter; at 30 kg a day that is the size Hoshizaki specifies. Before quoting we check the board voltage and frequency, the water connection and the fixing on board, since the figures above are for the standard IM-30CWPE-U-25.
