Hoshizaki Cube Ice Maker IM-45CPE-F – Self-Contained, Air-cooled, 47 kg/24h, L Cube

The IM-45CPE-F makes up to 47 kg of cubes a day and keeps 15 kg of it in its own bin, so it only needs power, water and a drain to start working. Averaged out, the machine turns out about 2 kg an hour. At that rate the 15 kg bin takes around 7.7 hours to rebuild after a busy service.

Choosing the version

This 47 kg/day machine is the FlexiCUBE build, so it has a built-in drain pump. The pump in the IM-45CPE-F pushes waste water up to 10 m sideways and 1.5 m up, which helps on a ship where the deck drain is rarely next to the bar. Each cube from the IM-45CPE-F is 28 x 28 x 32 mm (size L), the standard size with no suffix. If the version does not suit, the same body is sold as IM-45CPE (Basic Cube), IM-45CPE-U (UltraCUBE) and IM-45CPE-E (EliteCUBE). With a different cube it is the IM-45CPE-F-25 (S cube, 42 kg a day).

Footprint is 633 x 521 mm with a height of 690 mm before legs (add 90-125 mm); net weight is 45 kg. Power draw is 0.255 kW on single-phase 220-240 V 50 Hz, within ±6%, on a 5 A breaker. At 32 °C room temperature it releases 0.71 kW of heat. Daily water use is 110 liters, or roughly 2.3 liters for every kilo of ice. Refrigerant is 70 g of flammable R290 (A3), a figure the yard or class surveyor will ask for. Hoshizaki lists automated cleaning and internal drain pump for the IM-45CPE-F.

Keep the room around the IM-45CPE-F between 1 and 40 °C and the incoming water between 5 and 35 °C at 0.7 to 8 bar.
